Can avoid webcam flickering to trigger a continuous alarm ?

Post by marcolino »

Hi, all !
My poor webcam (stv680, STMicroelectronics Imaging Division (VLSI Vision) Aiptek PenCam 1), does flicker very much, when capturing images ... (dunno why, it's veeeery cheap, however ... ;-). May I however use it to test ZM ?
Can I avoid it's flickering to trigger a continuous alarm ?
My ZM installation can be reached at http://marcosolari.homelinux.org/zm ('admin' user's password is 'admin', in case anybody would check herself ...)
Thanks in advance to everybody !

If the camera is outputting a flickering image, I'm afraid there is not much that I know of to help. Have you tried moving the camera so that it points a different direction. Maybe there is a light source that could cause it to flicker?

Corey
