Philips Web Cam

Post by mikieo »

Help needed ! I've installed the latest ZM on my Linux Fedora box and I'm trying to get my Philips USB Web Cam to work - but I'm darn'd if I can get it to work using XAWTV let alone ZM - I can see the Philips cam when I list USB devices.....

Anyone able to give me a few ideas?

Cheers

I just struggled my way through a webcam installation.

First off, which cam is it? What's the name on the box, and also the name as reported by lsusb. I have a Philips ToUcam Pro II that shows up in lsusb as a "0471:0311 Philips PCVC740K ToUcam Pro" that works well.

What driver are you using? You'll probably need the PWC driver from Saillard.
