decision guide for IP66 IP VIVOTEK IP7330

Post by Schuhkasten »

Hy

I'm searching for a IP-Cam for outdoor (mount on wall) that is compatible to zoneminder and also payable.

I found the PC140 from Sony @ camsecure, is this one compatible or do you have any suggestion in the price range till 150EUR.

My lady preferes the DOME cams but I cannot find any with IP66, zoneminder compatible & payable beside the SK-720C-IP... but it`s 200 EUR...

requierement:

- picture of course not to bad
- low power consumption or sleep mode if no motion
- IP-RJ45
- outdoor
- view range is just 2-10m

They work fine with ZM... I can't make them work in http mode but in RTP/Unicast it works fine... I can get 30fps w/o a problem @ 640x480.

I could really use a guide for setting up IP7330 with Zoneminder, I'm new to Zoneminder so if you could include settings at both ends that would be great!

Thank you :)

Vivotek IP7330

You probably figured this out by now, but for others:

My Vivotek ip7330 is working fine with zoneminder. Its a nice little camera, although don't expect much for night vision sensitivity/noise.

The zoneminder setup is:

General:
Source Type: Remote
Source:
Remote Protocol: RTSP
Remote Method: RTP/RTSP
Remote Host Name: your.ip.addr.es
Remote Host Port: 554
Remote Host Path: /live.sdp
Capture Width (pixels): 640
Capture Height (pixels): 480

On the camera side it all camera defaults:
Authentication: disable (its on my LAN)
Access name for stream 1: live.sdp
RTSP port: 554
etc

I'm just running at 2fps, as this is enough for normal motion detection. No need to see someone winking at the camera :)
