geovision GV-1480

Post by giloosh »

I am trying to get the geovision GV-1480 card to work in zoneminder.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RLXDRE
I have decided to convert from windows XP to a linux zoneminder rig. I installed the latest ZMlarch. I ran a lspci and saw one pci card that might be the one called "Multimedia video controller" but I am not finding any /dev/video devices. I did follow this thread http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=55361 and updated my kernel (by running pacman -Syu), but still the same thing, no /dev/video devices. I would like this work before having to go out abd buy new cards, so if anyone could help that would be much appreciated.
thanks!
