i have a failing bluecherry pv-155. it seems bluecherry is going out of the business. is there a comparable repalement?

Search on auction sites for ip video encoder, and you can probably find a 16 channel vers.
fastest way to test streams:
ffmpeg -i rtsp://<user>:<pass>@<ipaddress>:554/path ./output.mp4 (if terminal only)
ffplay rtsp://<user>:<pass>@<ipaddress>:554/path (gui)
find paths on ispydb or in zm hcl
