Foscam cameras security....

There is no reason to single out Foscam. All companies that make low cost chinese ip cameras are notorious for bad security. If the camera isn't made by an expensive established brand name like Axis then assume that the camera is vulnerable to cracking into. You get what you pay for.
If you keep the cameras in a private LAN then the security vulnerability is not an issue. You shouldn't have cameras on the WAN.
