enough hardware for the job?

I have an old dell optiplex gx260 it is a p4 2.4ghz and has 2x256 mb ram on board I am installing a pv149 from blue cherry and would like to record at 30fps on each of the 4 cameras at 620x480. I think I will at least need to step up to 1 gig of ram but do you guys think it will do ok then? or should I save my money and build a more powerful system later?

I have a P4 2.93 2 gigs of ram, 6 cameras 640x480@5fps, load average at .4...

racelife you need more RAM, at least 1 GB ram.
