Invalid command 'SSLRequireSSL'

I installed zoneminder-1.34.22-1.el8.x86_64 on centos 8. httpd was running fine and I was able to get the default apache page at http://<ip-address> I tried to open zoneminder in a browser with http://<ip-address>/zm but it failed. https://<ip-address>/zm also failed. so I ran: # ln -s /etc/zm/www/z...

zm only keeping last 24 hours

I'm running zm 1.30.4 on centos 6 and the events only go back 24 hours, zm appears to be deleting anything older than that. The only filters I have are purge-after-7-days* and purge-when-full* . I've taken care that the filters are correct and there's plenty of free disc space. Why would zm be doing...

ERROR 1046 (3D000) at line 22: No database selected

I can't import a recent backup into zoneminder 1.30. I use the command:

Code: Select all

mysql -u root -p <zoneminder-backup-name>.sql
but it throws the error "ERROR 1046 (3D000) at line 22: No database selected". What can I do here?

not recording events

I'm running zoneminder 1.30 on centos 6, I have three cameras set up in zm, all green in the gui and they work fine when I click on the cam but zm is not recording any events. Everything is at 0 and I know there has been movement on the cams. I ran # mysqlcheck -c -u root --all-databases --auto-repa...

I feel such a fool. I was getting "Forbidden" because I was using http and not https (red faced). Hopefully this may help someone else who finds themselves locked out of the web gui.

Re: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /zm on this server.

hi & thanks, no nothing in the logs. While trying to log in I've done tail -f on /var/log/messages, /var/log/httpd/error_log, /var/log/access_log - nothing happens, and the folder /var/log/zoneminder is empty. I don't know what other logs to try

bump.
anyone? please?
I've been trawling google and this forum for hours. I've got 'Require all Granted' in httpd.conf, I've even wiped and reimstalled zoneminder but I still get this error. Nothing works.

SOLVED: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /zm on this server.

I've been running zoneminder-1.29.0-3.el6.x86_64 on centos 6 for ages, it's always been fine. Today when trying to get the web gui I suddenly get: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /zm on this server. Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS) Server at 172.16.1.180 Port 80 this is puzzling because the web ...

Re: apache not servig web pages

thanks I've already verified that by running wireshark on the server. It shows the web-page requests coming in which confirms the port forwarding is working in the router. Problem is apache is just not responding to the requests from the internet.

apache not servig web pages

I'm running zoneminder-1.29.0-3.el6.x86_64 on centos 6.7 64 bit and apache is not serving any of my web pages. I got zoneminder from the zmrepo at http://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/el/6/i386/zmrepo-6-7.el6.noarch.rpm I've posted this problem here in case this is being caused by zoneminder. Zoneminder is ...

Re: error: zoneminder:5 unknown user 'http'

yes it was zmrepo, I didn't know there were other repos's that installed zoneminder. I'll take a look at what you've suggested but I'm not sure I'm advanced enough to do that.
