Appears started, but web page says stopped
This is an old installation; it has been working with no changes for months. After a reboot, today the web console shows Stopped. However it appears to be running.. # service zoneminder status Redirecting to /bin/systemctl status zoneminder.service ● zoneminder.service - ZoneMinder CCTV recording an...

Re: slow down capture, speed up analysis or increase ring buffer
Sorry to rehash this issue; but I'm plagued with an ffmpeg rtsp camera. If I do NOT set a maximum FPS in zoneminder, I get lots of these errors. If I set an FPS, then I get no errors, but a blue screen as well :( I toned down the camera to 3 fps, but still I get lots of errors. :( Never mind: The er...

Tenvis TH661 camera?
Hi. Was anyone able to control this camera?
I installed the zoneminder 1.30, which comes with a long list of cameras that it can control, but I'm not sure which one to pick or which options to give..

Re: new install of zoneminder, no shared memory
Never mind; that zoneminder must have been compiled without shared memory support..

new install of zoneminder, no shared memory
Hello. I installed zoneminder-1.30.0-1.fc23.x86_64 from https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/ on my fedora 23. After much work (24 hours), I am still having trouble with its running. Namely, it does not create shared memory files for one. Here is its current status: ● zoneminder.service - ZoneMinder CCTV r...

motorized camera recommendations
Hello. I'm looking for a 360-degree motorized IP camera for my home, that's not too expensive.. I had good luck with the non-motorized megapixel Foscam's, but I never purchased a motorized one.. and I was wondering if there are any recommendations. Obviously, working well with zoneminder is a plus.....

autostarting zoneminder and its monitoring
Hi there.. Currently when my fedora 20 goes down, I have to do a
/usr/bin/perl -wT /usr/local/bin/zmdc.pl startup
to start zoneminder.. Worse, it stays in "stopped" mode and I have to go into its web interface and start its monitoring.
Any ideas on how to automate these?
Many thanks, -t

Re: ffmpeg streams and image corruption
If that's any relief, I didn't have to reduce the resolution on my FI9805; just the frame rate.. It seems to behave well at 5FPS at 1280x720

Re: ffmpeg streams and image corruption
if your camera permits, can you reduce the FPS from its interface?

How to record all frames during alarm
Hi there. I noticed that, unless something big happens, not all alarm frames are recorded. For example, if I walk in front of the camera at some distance, stand still or do something that doesn't require much movement, then those frames are not present in the resulting event. It just shows me going ...

Re: Foscam FI9805W: HOW-TO: Stream video to zoneminder
Ok, the only problem I see is that sometimes a partial video frame is received.. The top part of the picture is there, but the bottom is just the last row repeated all the way down the image. About a second later, the correct stream resumes (probably after a keyframe?) but this generates an event wi...

Re: Foscam FI9805W: How to stream to zoneminder
I only had it running for about 10 hours now. The camera still works, and no problems that I can see.
I did apply the new firmware a few days ago. Maybe they fixed something?

Foscam FI9805W: HOW-TO: Stream video to zoneminder
I just successfully got streaming working from my camera to zoneminder. The camera is a HD Foscam FI9805W. Beforehand, I could take snapshots, but those proved to be too slow -- only 0.7FPS at best. I eventually got video streaming to work! (took 3 days of work). Here is how, and its not documented ...
