Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event
Actually, I've just upgraded to 1.32.3 from the PPA, and I don't see any change in behaviour from the original defect (regardless of clicking in the progress bar) i.e. when viewing gapless events, and "upping" the rate, it still resets to 1x on the next event.

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event
Given that I guess this isn't expected behaviour, as it doesn't work this way for non-h.264 stored files, I've raised a bug here https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/issues/2319.

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event
Ah, yes, that's a good point- I am making use of h.264 too.
There's also the "black flash" that you get between events, but I can live with that - the resetting of the speed is a bit of a problem when reviewing events though

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event
Anyone else seeing this, or is it just an oddity of my install?
It's quite a pain to review multiple (gapless) events when the speed drops back to 1x on each new event.

Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event
Hi, I've been running 1.32.2 on a test server, and after a successful period of running there's now only one thing stopping me switching over my main server from 1.30.4. When viewing "Gapless Events", if I set a Fast Forward speed on one event it always reverts back to 1x when it hits the ...

Re: Montage view missing info
mmm...I'm seeing this too, just checked. With 1.30.4 I always see "status" and "fps" in the montage view, for each camera, as long as I am viewing < 6 cameras - 6 cameras or more and I don't. However, with 1.32 I don't see "status" and "fps" when viewing 4 cam...

Re: Ubuntu 18.04.1 Dependency errors
The answer is in the first post (along with the problem)? I had to do the same as the OP on a clean (and very minimal) Ubuntu 18.04 server install, although having to do this varies (I suspect) depending on what you chose to install initially. Anyway, /etc/apt/source.list needs to be updated to incl...

Re: fast forward does not work
In general I've found that new release to be really good on a clean install - I've not attempted an update, due to the issues reported, and I'm currently testing on a separate box. On the fast forward front: it's working for me, and also shows progress on the indicator. However, if I'm viewing event...

Re: Bit confused by the Ubuntu stable PPA situation and 1.32.x
First time when 1.32.0 was on the zoneminder ppa and today from the zoneminder-master ppa. It is not on the zoneminder ppa because of some reported issues (and I'm not sure just what they were). I did the upgrade from the zoneminder-master ppa to see what would happen with a machine with a couple o...

Re: Bit confused by the Ubuntu stable PPA situation and 1.32.x
I've upgraded my test machine a couple of times from Ubuntu 16.04 ZM 1.30.4 to ZM 1.32.0 successfully. Did it the other day when 1.32.0 hit the PPA and again just a couple of minutes ago using the ppa zoneminder-master Not totally clear on what you're saying there - when you initial say "did i...

Bit confused by the Ubuntu stable PPA situation and 1.32.x
Hi, Noticed that the new installation instructions reference the stable PPA to install 1.32.x, from where I currently have 1.30.4 installed i.e. https://launchpad.net/~iconnor/+archive/ubuntu/zoneminder . However, 1.32.x packages don't seem to be published there, although there are specific builds t...

Re: ZM + monitorix?
What sort of statistics are you looking for? Might be worth keeping in mind that the enterprise monitoring solutions often offer freebies. I've used the Datadog agent on a Raspberry Pi - requires you to build the agent from source for ARM, but it's very lightweight - https://forums.zoneminder.com/vi...

Re: Monitoring ZM state
You *could* roll something yourself, or you could just make use of the free offering from Datadog: https://www.datadoghq.com/pricing/ The no cost option with them will cover 5 hosts, and if you install the Datadog agent on your Zoneminder box you can trigger email alerts based on whatever you want (...

Re: Too many camera choices
Hi, I am reading a lot of articles like the "Hardware Compatibility List". I am searching for an Outdoor, bullet camera, 3MP or better, color, Night-vision, IP, POE, 1 GBps. I've found Hikvision and Dahua cameras pretty good, for mid-range cameras - most, if not all, in their ranges shoul...
