Re: Ffmpeg and smearing issues
I should have mentioned it. I also played with "exposure". "Low-noise" allows gain changes, "anti-smearing" allows shutter changes, and manual is both. I think they are both upstream of the encoding like the rest of the image settings so I don't expect they would have a...

Re: Ffmpeg and smearing issues
I have not used remote and it did not smear today as far as I can tell. Today was not as sunny as yesterday. I have only had the camera outside since Saturday. I had it running inside for a week and didn't see it.
I also sent an image to Reolink.

Re: Ffmpeg and smearing issues
p.s. I have been using ffmpeg with RTP/RSTP the whole time.
p.p.s. Of course, everything appears to be working fine today, I just checked the logs for the whole day.

Re: Ffmpeg and smearing issues
I played the same game last night as well. My RLC-410 started freaking out in late afternoon. I thought probesize was making a difference but nothing changed until the camera went to black and white after dark. The Reolink app and high stream was clear the entire time. Reboots of the camera did not ...

Re: Ffmpeg and smearing issues
Set rtsp_transport to tcp and upgrade to ffmpeg 3. If you can increase analyzation duration and probesize, you should. are those Zoneminder options, ffmpeg options, or ffmpeg compile switches? edit - I RTFM: http://www.ffmpeg-archive.org/analyzeduration-and-probesize-td4658160.html ffmpeg version 3...

Re: Ffmpeg and smearing issues
JT - I have seen the same symptoms as you. I have a Reolink 411 and 410 setup. My cameras are running with both the low modect (640x360x7fps) and high stream. My high stream is at nodect 2304x1296 at 24-bit set at 20fps from the camera. I could not tell any difference between 24-bit and 32-bit perfo...

Re: ZoneMinder Philosophy
Are there guidelines for scripting (i.e. must use perl), coding (must lint, use xyz gcc flags), and regression testing (must test on fedora x, unbuntu y, and deb z)?

Re: [SOLVED] Monitoring high resolution/high fps feed
I have been getting intermittent bursts of errors like this. ERR [Incomplete frame write: 219264 of 289380 bytes written] my cat /proc/sys/net/core/wmem_max was also 212992. Last night I took my high res camera to 24-bits and set net.core.wmem_max = 262144 in /etc/sysctl.conf. I put this also in FRA...

Re: Orphan Socket - how to clear
Follow up. I went into MySQL (MariaDB) with Webmin and found both a leftover user and ZM Database permissions. I cleared those and reinstalled. On startup again, the SQL error was gone but the socket error persisted. I set up three monitors and after about 20 minutes, the socket error above cleared....
