Re: Why is this filter rule not working?
Thanks, but it works now. I've set my database some days back (actually i forgot to save it ) and re-created the filter (with some minor differences) and now it works (its disabled on the screenshot atm). I also had some leftover files from a previous ZM session that were not registered in the...

[Solved]Why is this filter rule not working?
Why is this filter rule not working? I can press 'execute' and i see a properly processed event list (corresponding entries are removed) but when i go to 'console' all events are still there. Other rules like 'purge' or another 'Total Score' rule (without time) do work properly. Its running for hour...

Re: how are zones order processed?
I had exactly the same understanding of the 'inclusive zone' as the guys above. Its misleading and dangerous to have important areas covered with this zones. The wiki should explicitly state that it just adds score to the active zone and not extending alarms. A real 'Active/Slave Zone' that extends ...

Re: ZM SSL or not?
Self-signed certificates are rejected by some browsers (Android/Chrome, Android/Bromite and probably all derivatives). Publicly signed certificates are intermediate certificates that can be replaced (and used as MITM) seamlessly by any other cert of the master CA without your knowledge. You have to ...

Re: ZoneMinder "hangs" when I look a live picture with 1080p
Liveview is converted mjpeg that stresses browsers. You can lower the fps in 'options' for liveview and keep recording at 30fps. The eventview player uses an optimized player to play back recorded h264 that should run without problems.

Re: ZM SSL or not?
SSL is not necessary if you use it in your local network only. For everything else there is wireguard vpn.

Re: Hikvision 720p with Hd Balun problem
What i wanted to say is that you might try to disconnect and re-connect the cable of the camera to see if the picture changes at all. The question here is if the picture is a default "garbage" signal from the card or is it an actual signal from the camera. Usually, even if the sync is inco...

Re: Hikvision 720p with Hd Balun problem
The IVC-120G card is an BT8x8 analogue TV card if i get it right so its rather 480p/576p resolution. Try to pull the cable and see if the picture changes at all. The card/driver can be configured somehow (input channel, composite/s-video, NTSC/PAL, resolution and such). It might be not set up proper...

Re: zm_event_start.sh: How to set mysql unix socket?
Thanks, will test that. I probably should send-in some upstream patches (to Alpine Linux) to get the ZM_CONFIG_DIR fixed. Regarding question 1: I'm following your Test operation guide. 'zm_event_start.sh' seems to try to connect to the mysql database by network port (localhost:3306). Something i don...

Change the 1280 in +/-8 steps like 1272, 1288, 1296... The skew should reduce in one direction.

zm_event_start.sh: How to set mysql unix socket?
I've initially set up ZMES/opencv doing the postinstall tests: $ sudo -u nginx /var/lib/zmeventnotification/bin/zm_event_start.sh 3211 1 File "/usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/mysql/connector/network.py", line 606, in open_connection self.sock.connect(sockaddr) ConnectionRefusedError: [Err...

Re: ZoneMinder 1.32.3 Freenas API Failure
Is it not strange its looking in /zm/api/app..... shouldnt it be /usr/local/www/zm/api/app...... '/usr/local/www' is the base/root folder of the webserver. It should be defined somewhere. You work relative to that. Also note that my rewrite is an nginx command. Most ZM installs use Apache i guess. ...

Re: zm_detect.py error when testing zm_event_start.sh
Are you sure it detected your bsd system properly and you have the proper environment? Opencv officially supports freebsd. It should compile out of the box (i guess).
