Make breaks on errors - certain PHP files are the "same"?

Folks, a little help here. I did a clean install of Ubuntu 10.04. I ran the instructions at: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Documentation#Introduction I got all the pre-requisites in via standard Ubuntu packages, on the assumption that ffmpeg and the like should be new enough as of that ve...

I tried to follow the symlink advice here: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16392 I issued the commands: ln -s /media/disk/events ln -s /media/disk/images ...both with and without sudo, and changed the path locations in the Options>Paths area to "events" and "images&qu...

Can't play events at all. I now know why. What's the fix?

I have my events on a separate 500gig disk formatted ReiserFS (hope it doesn't kill it's wife). Path is /media/disk/events I can't view events. I've set all the paths correctly in the options menus. But in debug mode I get: 01/26/11 12:25:36.473342 zms[2537].ERR-zm_event.cpp/1190 [Can't open /usr/sh...

Just got back in to try it.

http://127.0.0.1/zm/ works at the station running ZM.

So does:

http://192.168.0.53/zm/index.php

But the same command from another machine, same net, total fail. Over WiFi and plain Ethernet.

Sigh.

Anybody?

Can't access ZM across the local net...

Folks, I have ZM up and running...latest version under Fedora 13. I have a static IP address on that box of 192.168.0.53. At the station where it's installed I can point the browser to 192.168.0.53/zm and it works as expected. If I go to any other computer on the same local net off the same router a...

Solved via comment 1 at: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=556166 At /etc/php.ini, change short_open_tag to On. Again: there is NO such thing as a complete install guide to ZM. Anywhere. Sigh. I frackin hate Zoneminder. I detest it with all my being. I wish it would go away one day and get...

OK...turns out it didn't save somehow at step 14: (14) Edit as root /etc/httpd/conf.d/zoneminder.conf to remove the 'Deny from All' line. It even says 'DELETE THIS LINE', so it should be easy to find. Save it. So now I don't get a permissions failure...I get a blank screen (literally, *nothing*?) at...

Brand new install, "forbidden" at localhost/zm

I just did a brand new install of Fedora 13 and followed the directions at: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Fedora#Fedora_11.2C_12_and_13 I get "forbidden" trying to get to the basic console. Please...short term, I need to know what to fix for this problem but more importantly, is...

PLEASE, what's the best distro and instructions for ZM1.24.2

Folks, I'm going to have to completely scrap my build and start over. What I have now based on the Bluecherry LiveCD and ZM1.24.0 will not support streaming from my IP cameras, and none of the instructions for compiling under Ubuntu 8.10 work with 1.24.2. I just want a working system. Please, if any...

Huh. OK...obviously, I'm going to have to compile 1.24.2. 1.24.0 with the same settings has "fail" written all over it. Crap, I tried compiling from scratch before and something always went wrong. Sigh. But hey, at least I know mysql and apache are all set now. Man, 13fps would be frickin'...

Another thing: Mitch, what *exactly* do you mean by "use FFMPEG"? There's around a dozen or so settings that interact with FFMPEG including at least half the stuff under "images". Do I turn Cambozola on or off? Do I want JPEG or MPEG under "ZM_STREAM_METHOD"? I have &qu...

Dammit, still nothing but failure. This link works in a web browser just fine: http://192.168.0.54/video.cgi?a=.mjpg ...but when I try and translate it into Zoneminder settings I get no image whatsoever. Does part of it go into the "host path" ("video.cgi" maybe?) and part into t...

One suggestion in dealing with slow frame rate feeds - change your warm-up frames value ( a value of 50 @ .7 fps = lot's of patience, @ 3 fps a little less). Uhhh...WHAT? I mean seriously...what is a warm-up frames value, and where is it set? The other issue is, why can't I get /video.cgi working? ...
