all the unused inputs were already set to disabled and none. But I don't see why that should matter since in this card it is 1 chip per input. Ever since I set it to RGB555 it is much better but still there are 2 or 3 or sometimes a few more lines. But also many times there are no lines during quick...

If all you need to do is listen to the sound in realtime you could rig something maybe with vlc, connect sound input to sound card and you can embed the streaming player in the montage page. I use vlc to play streams over speakers but the opposite seems possible too. You could also archive the audio...

I got this working a while back but the server has since been wiped. I forget which ffmpeg I used but the solution to the errors was to make some symlinks I think the rpm ffmpeg files were thrown all over the place, just updatedb & locate.

At very first I was when I stuck the card in CentOS without any config, but I never saw this again after I set the modprobe options and also I had a PCI winmodem that was to be used with Asterisk PBX. When the driver (DAHDI + wcfxo) was loaded I got constant FXO PCI Bus Master Abort Errors... but I ...

I am using BGR24. Will using RGB555 cause any increase in CPU usage? Anyways I have set it and will see tomorrow during the day if it looks any better. Oh and already I have set in my modprobe.conf (well /etc/modprobe.d/50-tv.conf in openSUSE) options bttv gbuffers=16 radio=-1 tuner=4 card=102,102,1...

I just bought a Logitech HD camera to connect to my Mac for normal webcam use. They cite no more than 15-20 fps in 720p. You will probably want a more expensive camera that has hardware encoder if you are thinking of getting 720p video over a USB 2.0 interface. With the analog cards its very simple....

Well the reason I've switched from CentOS to openSUSE and Adaptec to HP RAID controllers was because the server was a work in progress. During that time it also went from 430 watts Antec ATX 1.x power supply to a brand new 550 (or was it 650?) watts Antec ATX 2.3 power supply. The server itself is o...

I doubt that you will be able to install the needed daemon in a shared webhosting environment. You might want to look into what's called a VPS but be warned you get what you pay for, many of those for $10/month or less will have poor performance no matter what you do with it.

All I seem to have found for PCIe solution appears like it's a PCIe to PCI bridge and then it has 878 chips on it. But then again, I was even looking into my PCIe SAS-RAID controller and even that is just a PCIe to PCIx bridge! So you know there are some adapters for PCIe to PCI? The only thing is y...

Are you certain this "backlight compensation" in the webcam is actually in hardware and it's not just something in the driver?

Yes, that is probably your issue. You need to tell the TV tuner what channel to tune to somehow. I am not sure if this is supported somehow since it's not typical for the cameras to be on modulated coax. When I was setting up my home system I had massive issues with PCI compatibility because I am ru...

Maybe someone could post sample pictures from cameras. At under $100 I highly doubt you can get a decent quality image... For under USD 40 even the analog cameras are rubbish and then consider the cheap one's can't be anything more than an analog camera with with a digitalizer attached.

Lines (NOT interlacing) in Images

I've searched and searched and searched and all I come across is information about interlacing. I know what interlacing is and how it works. What I am seeing does not appear to be interlacing. What I am seeing is horizontal lines accross the image when there is motion, but outside the field of motio...

This is very interesting... Just the other day I was thinking "Hmm we could switch to Mac OS X Server... but ZM won't work"

But also if you have Mac OS X client I don't see why you can't install Apache from macports and go from there as well....
