Figured it out....looks like the max buffers is 32.

I'm installing a new server with a Geovision card in it (GV-800), on Fedora Core 14. The default config picks up the card just fine, but the buffers seemed low. I created a /etc/modprobe.d/bttv.conf file and put the single line in it: options bttv gbuffers=64 and I get the odd problem that the buffe...

When was that requirement introduced? I don't remember ever having to do that in the past. It's also not in the README.Fedora file.

I'm currently running what I believe is a Pentium D 915 (dual-core, 2.8Ghz, overclocked to ~3.2GHz, 2x2MB cache). It runs 4 cameras with motion detection and multiple zones quite well. Bummer. I've tried bumping the number of captures per frame (saw this suggestion in a past posting), and that did help, but only slightly.

So the only way around this is the digital camera at 480 line capture? Thanks for the info.

My cameras are all a minimum of 420 lines, but whenever there's motion during the capture, i get what seems like interlacing where there is motion between frames. I realize that regular NTSC is only 200 lines, but shouldn't that be irrelevant when grabbing with a 400+ line camera? Since I'm not good...
