Re: Presets and Detection Sensitivity
Start with Best, High sensitivity and tune it down. For me better works with smaller zones. Define zones only where the area of interest is.

Re: nodect to modect links mysteriously stopped working
I know it sounds stupid but if is not working at all just delete them and recreate it from scratch. Also make sure on the transport tab they are matching the correct way in pulling the stream. I had one in unicast one in multicast and wasn't working. Corrected it and is ok. What I'm getting is diffe...

Re: nodect to modect links mysteriously stopped working
Make sure you have same settings in buffer tab. Pre/post frame count, alarming frames etc. For me this did the trick.

Re: Restore config
Also have some slight query related to this... I have a bunch of cameras, modect in low stream, nodect in high stream. But I have some big troubles with system load and I need to add more cameras. I would like to change the monitors only on high stream to perform modect only on that. However I have ...

Re: Clone Cameras Don't Work
Enable onvif and do a discovery. For me worked like a charm. Maybe you don't really have them configured the same. I see in the link mcast for transport but you might have unicast TCP on some. If you performed firmware upgrade I'm pretty sure not all of them came with same settings. In my case every...

Re: Progress bar jumping back and forth
Sorry man, wasn't aware. It this helps: seems to be browser related. Chrome doesn't do that. Firefox does.

Re: Runaway errors after deleting events - ZoneMinder 1.34.9
If you delete the event while watching it will fill the logs with "unable to find the event". Only restarting apache will stop that. However if you let the movie till the end, then you delete it will also be fixed. Another thing, if the event is mp4, and if you disable the jpeg saving (fro...

Progress bar jumping back and forth
Don't know if was reported already but when seeing events that are long (like 10 minutes, loop recording) I see the video only displayed as 30 seconds, then when is almost in the end, progress bar jumps back, add some more minutes and so on. Running 1.34.11-buster1 on Debian 10.4. In 1.34.10 didn't ...

Motion detection setup
Hi, I'm pretty sure this was discussed before, but I'm unable to find a clear conclusion on it. Which way is better for motion detection for cameras with 2 streams? Having low-res as modect and high resolution as nodect and linked or perform directly modect on high resolution stream? In my setup loa...

Re: motion detection configuration
Check the buffers tab and play with pre and post image count. Also I would recommend that you set the I frame interval same as the fps (that will be set from the camera) for me those settings work best:
Image Buffer Size (frames) 45
Pre Event Image Count 15
Post Event Image Count 10
Image Buffer Size (frames) 45
Pre Event Image Count 15
Post Event Image Count 10

Ok, that was stupid, sorry about that.
In "/lib/systemd/system/zoneminder.service" had
#User=www-data
Changed it to:
User=www-data
And now seems fine.

zoneminder.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'
Hi Guys, First of all thanks for this amazing piece of software. Sorry if was already discussed, first post here. I have already searched the forums but found nothing similar. I have a new installation of 1.34.9 updated lately to 1.34.10 on a Debian 10.3. System works, I have all monitors running fi...
