Re: ZoneMinder makes Raspberry super slow
I recommend running the pi without the gui when you install Zoneminder. The pi 3 has a gig of ram of which 500 meg is used by tmpfs. The full gui version of Rasperian eats that up quickly. Also use low res cameras. I have set lots of settings in my Raspbian which has GUI so i would like to keep tho...

Re: Installing to Raspbian "buster"
Thanks. That helped.
Now when i do
mysql -uroot -p < /usr/share/zoneminder/db/zm_create.sql
it asks password and no matter what i put there, raspberry password or return or password created during mysql_secure_installation, i always get empty row. Cursor just goes to start of next row.

Let say i want to have little too much cameras with motion detection in Raspberry 3 so it makes framerate low.

Also are there any other serious ZoneMinder type of apps?

Best SBC for ZoneMinder with several cameras and motdet
Anybody recently tested different SBCs with ZoneMinder?
I would like to know which boards would be good for handling multiple cameras with motion detection etc. What i heard is that Raspberry 3 can't handle many cameras with decent frame rate etc.
Less than $100 SBC.

What hardware can handle more cameras than RPi3?
Let say i want to use more cameras that Raspberry 3 can handle.
What (cheap) hardware you recommend for newbie?
Is it possible to run Raspbian in these other systems so i don’t need to learn new thing and can continue to use Raspbian and learn more about it?
