Nice, thank you. I'll give it another try at some point. Just learning as I go right now, using it for myself to see if it might be a good replacement for a number of installs that could become ZM.
Thanks again.

Re: What happened to 'Remote method'?
But that's just it, there was no RTSP in the list for source/remote unless I am looking at the wrong place? I went back to the old version since I could not figure this out.

Re: Camera is bright but dim viewed in ZM
Right, that's interesting and I've seen that sort of thing too. All I can think of is that for some reason, this camera is experiencing a weak video output. I connected it to another port and it did the same. I connected another camera to the same port that this dim camera is on and it was fine, nic...

What happened to 'Remote method'?
I got my introduction to ZM a couple of months ago when I built my first system, 1.29.0. I decided to build a new one today and went through the exact same process. I followed the same instruction as I have for my previous version for 16.x server; http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/stable/installat...

Re: Camera is bright but dim viewed in ZM
Hi, thanks for the reply. Sorry for the long delay, I don't seem to be receiving the notifications. That was a good call so I tested that. There is an RCA splitter from from the camera output which goes into the grandstream then to a small LCD screen which I use for troubleshooting. I took that out ...

Re: Camera is bright but dim viewed in ZM
Sorry, I thought the fact that I mentioned the grandstream might give that info. The grandstream is an IP encoder. I'm not sure what the camera is, something that came with a ZModo package deal which I upgraded from cmos to ccd. Yes, analog, video only, connected to one of the gsx3504 video inputs. ...

Re: Grandstream GXV3504 - Source path?
I just happened to have purchased the Gransdtream for test using ZM but yes, I'll be looking at others.
I don't recall seeing anything but rtsp paths. Maybe I missed something.
In terms of the individual cameras, now it makes sense so I appreciate your input on this.
Thanks.

Camera is bright but dim viewed in ZM
I have a color camera installed outside which is always nice and bright but when viewing the same camera connected to a grandstream gsx3504 and viewing it through ZM, the image is very dark.
Again, searching for days so thought I would ask here.

Grandstream GXV3504 - Source path?
When using the grandstream GXV3504, do I have to add one monitor for each channel or am I missing something? I'm totally new to zoneminder and learning about it. For now, I've created four different monitors, each using rtsp://192.168.1.227/x but wondered if there is something I am missing, maybe th...
