Sounds like the monitors were inadvertently linked. Delete both monitors and recreate (use a different name) being careful not to mess with the linked monitor section at all.

Try increasing your "Post Event Image Count" to a total of 10 seconds worth of frames and/or increase the "Pre Event Image Count" to an acceptable value for you.

Try changing the captures per frame setting to a value of 2 in ZM options

Try bringing up that camera by pointing VLC (or other) to /dev/video0 to see if it is working. If not check the camera power supply.

With a camera like that the camera makes no difference at all. Please post your capture card type and whether or not it's being recognized by the system.

Please post both monitors general and source tabs

Or if the frames that are missing are at the beginning then increase the pre alarm frames setting.

Have a 4 chip card that did the same thing. Put heat sinks on the chips and added a case fan and haven't had a problem since

Check the firewall settings for a "maximum connections" type setting. This issue was common in XP where on Home editions the limitation was 5 and Professional 10.

With this card there is no need to use ffmpeg at all.
