i built an 8 camera system and i used a 2.0 gig processor and it takes forever to remove events or pull up things.

i went with a dual p4 processor with a 16camera and it flies like the wind no issues.

i used redhat 9 but if i build another i'll use fedora core.

ok i have a system which has a 225 or i think a 240 mhz or so it runs kinda above what it was originally designed to do which was 200mhz. anyway the system is old and i used it for testing purposes only. i now have 128mb ram in the computer..... i want to use one camera at 25 frames per second will ...

has anyone developed a way to directly create either a shorcut to a camera or a autologin for just pulling up a camera bypassing the login for internal network users?

yes i got the pico to work off ebay with 8 color cameras
actually it works good 5 frames per second with 2 cameras per card

why not just read up on the ffmpeg here is the documentation link for the ffmpeg http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net/ffmpeg-doc.html now just setup zoneminder to execute a script for each camera every hr generating the jpegs collected in the directory.... then have zoneminder automatically remove the jpeg...

thank phil yes i installed ffmpeg and its working and the libs are installed i did have mpeg selected but unless i choose jpeg under video it doesnt work....? when i say work i mean it at least trys with a denied message with jpeg and mpeg gets just a blank screen? now im getting this except i did d...

I've done the upgrade now to the latest version but still yet have i been able to get streaming video? What exact program is used for streaming video ? i've got ffmpeg and berkleys mpeg enconder installed? is there something else i need....Where does the streaming video come from ? how to you open t...
