Can you tell it not to run zmaudit (which is the advised behaviour) and then just run it manually. You might get useful output.

It’s more Linux than ZM, I think. V4L if they still call it that. You need to have the right kernel modules for the chips. Then, as they are loaded, the devices show up. If you only get /dev/video0 showing up, then I’m not sure what else there is you can do. Loading and unloading modules, check dmes...

Make sure it’s structured per the docs. If it’s just a folder of pictures, that’s not right.

From the docs - increase the Post Event buffer size.

What does you known faces directory/content look like? That's what I'd check.

Do you have authentication on in ZM? When I last tried the RTSP server it prompted me to auth.

Check your logs. These things don’t usually happen in silence. Seems like it’s crashing.

It’s nothing to do with ZM if you have a ‘users’ DB. ZM users are a table in the ZM DB.

This looks like the problem -

Sounds like your DB is incomplete.

As I said, ZM is not developed to support HLS. Isaac might have some suggestions, or it might need some code changes. CCTV doesn't usually involve HLS, so it's a bit of a niche requirement.

It’s actually an HLS stream and the m3u8 is just the playlist. ZM doesn’t support HLS, but ffmpeg should understand it and work as a source.
