No idea what your web server is. But, in general (and this isn't for 1.34, but has, I think, relevance):

Re: Using multiple streams from one camera (and record ONLY from one stream)
I did more pondering on this and I think you're noting what popped into my head as being a potential problem. The MODECT stream is instructed to buffer frames before and after an event. If I use this stream to trigger the stream for HD recording I believe that I couldn't capture the lead-in and lead...

Re: ZM is running - So what's next? Stoopid Noob questions
There's events and then there's events... There is the event data in the database and then there is the jpegs/mpegs. To answer your question: No, I do not back up the mpegs (storing as video, though there are event thumbnails as well). The reason is is that I care about the DATABASE. Why? Don't want...

Using multiple streams from one camera (and record ONLY from one stream)
Is it possible, with cameras that support multiple streams, to set up one stream to do MODECT (and serve live streams) and act as the trigger (linked monitor?) for the camera's higher resolution stream to be recorded, for that higher resolution stream to ONLY capture IF/WHEN the lower resolution str...

Re: What are all these errors in the log?
Just an FYI - hoping that any solution here on this broken pipe error will translate for same error I'm having with 1.34.15. I'm seeing the same broken pipe errors in my logs, but I'm running 1.34.15. I get them every time I do do a playback (event). The operation does work/finish/complete, though i...

Re: Another API issue..
OK, I tested the wife's old Moto G4+ which is running Android 8 and it works perfectly fine. Looks like Android 7 is problematic, or the basic 7.0 kernel that I am running (3.10.84-ElementalX-G4.2.01). I'm going to give up on my phone and use the G4+. Again, many thanks for taking the time to help w...

Re: Live view constantly cycles (zms socket errors)
Ugh... Running remotely, with bandwidth set to Low and running Montage from console is [still] producing socket errors: 2020-05-31 13:32:18 web_php 19436 ERR Timed out waiting for msg /var/run/zm/zms-998436s.sock /usr/share/zoneminder/www/ajax/stream.php 93 2020-05-31 13:32:18 web_php 19436 ERR No d...

Re: Another API issue..
Bit rate is something I'm pondering. Going to wait to first try out my wife's old G4+ (mine's a plain G4, older).

Re: Another API issue..
It figures it only bites the hand that feeds it (me)! Event 301 is only 9 seconds. Maybe I need to really kick the resolution down? I'm a bit hesitant to lose quality though (of course, what good is quality if you can't use it). I'm running Android 7.0. It's a generic kernel: I rooted it so ...

Re: Another API issue..
I'm a bit confused over ZM's info for MPEG_REPLAY_FORMAT: When using MPEG mode ZoneMinder can replay events in encoded video format. However what formats are handled by the browser varies greatly between machines. This option allows you to specify a video format using a file extension format, so you...

Re: Another API issue..
Sent you message. You should have access to any events (though any single one of them ought to be OK). If you can help me figure out ADB again I can dig deeper. One thing not mentioned is that my phone's rooted: not sure if I'd read of this presenting any issues w/regard to zmNinja.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Re: Another API issue..
I disabled Chrome and installed WebView but that doesn't rectify; perhaps there's some setting to make zmNinja see/understand this? Again, I can view event playback while logged in to the ZM console via Firefox, though I have to specify MJPEG as the codec. Logs (which I can provide, but just wanted ...

Re: Live view constantly cycles (zms socket errors)
That seems to be the case. If you can give me a specific set of parameters/settings to go through to test I can report back. My impression was that the prevalence of socket errors dropped once I kicked the bandwidth setting down: setting within ZM's console (also for my user) as well as on the clien...

Re: Another API issue..
OK, I've found the cause of the Android phone issue. CODEC is set to Auto by default. I can change this within a browser, but not within zmNinja. If, within a browser, I set it to MJPEG it will display (though I'm still subjected to socket issues, which is a separate, though previously commented on,...
