Oh. Forgot that was there. It's sort of weird that MJPEG works at all.

So what do you have on the storage page for this problem camera? I (think) I have a camera that does h265, and will see if I can figure anything...
And yeah, I don't think 1.37 will help either, but I'm gonna play with that too.

The scan function seems to need work...

I've also tried providing the camera IP, name and PW then hitting the
"add button" but that also has no effect.

Hit Add first, set fields, then Save. Pressing Save on any page saves all the pages, if the info appears sufficient.

264 works fine in auto Mode (mp4). If i switch to mjpeg its the same as with 265.

U.S. WWV time uses a bit to indicate whether daylight time is in effect. Ideally, that would be included with the time stamp, but I guess it's too late now.

The real problem is getting the RIGHT instructions to appear in Google/etc. ahead of all the SEO-optimized wrong ones.

Unfortunately there are a few (now or always) wrong instructions on personal sites too.

We probably ought to have the "right" instructions pinned somewhere, so when the question comes up we can just tell them where to look.

OR, maybe a new "New to Zoneminder? Install tips." or similar would be where to put it.

That's an AWS ip, pretty sure it's the ZM telemetry. Which is down due to expense.
There used to be a checkbox to turn it off. I suspect if you go to Options->Privacy->(choose) Decline, then Apply, that will stop it.
Port 443 is the normal https:// port, BTW.
