Re: Monitor two cameras in same time

I don't know why you are having that particular problem, but the 1.32 versions seem to have a lot of serious issues in general. I could never get my 1.32 installation to work properly, so I moved to 1.33 which works fine for me. 1.34 is out now. The ZM gurus are currently recommending everyone move ...

Re: Debian 9 , ZM 1.32 in not available via sid/exper. Repo

For me as of today, ZoneMinder 1.32.3-2 is in Debian unstable (aka sid). You either have to enable the unstable repository in your sources.list or install the unstable package using one of the methods in the following link. https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/8049/how-to-install-some-packages-f...

2. I do not use ONVIF in Zoneminder but rely on configuring cameras manually after research and testing.
+1. I do the same as bbunge.

I also assign each camera a fixed IP, which makes it easy to manage them, including blocking them from directly accessing the Internet for security reasons.

Re: Filtering motion events caused by WiFi drops

I assume rsvp is a typo and you really meant to type rtsp. I remember having similar problems with an older version of ZM when the camera RTSP streams were using UDP. Switching to TCP fixed it. A congested network would make things even worse with UDP. Note: That didn't cure all the problems with Wi...

They don't eat enough of them. If you are short on mud daubers I can send you a case or two. :P

By any chance are your installations in built up areas? Mine are all in the boonies, and the remotely located IR sources make a huge difference.

Re: Machine spec recommendation needed

I too thought the old i3s were limited to two threads, but the "renewed" Dell Optiplex i3 that I found listed on Amazon the other day has two cores and four threads, which surprised me. Some buyers are using them as media servers.

No idea if the OP's machine is the same.

Re: ZM constantly drops UVC G3 RTSP

Posting your hardware information would help.

However, according to the developers, 1.33x will move to stable shortly. It is already more stable than 1.32x for many of us. Suggest that you try 1.33x since you are just testing right now. Instructions at https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Welcome.

And that sort of nonsense is why all of my cameras are assigned fixed IPs with no Internet access.

Re: Montage Review FPS

Montage Review seems slow for some reason. On Montage Review mine fluctuates between 0.9 and 1.3 fps. On Montage, I get 5 fps. Live view is 5 fps. Server is an i5 with 8 gig of ram and six cameras. Five 1920x1080 and one 1280x720. All cameras are set internally to 5 fps. All readings taken using Fir...

Re: So many Errors

You can get all kinds of problems using the deb-multimedia repository. It is not coordinated with Debian and uses a naming convention that overrides the Debian repositories. It's bad news. Been there and done that, as they say. Use the bbunge instructions in the Wiki instead: https://wiki.zoneminder...

Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.30->1.32: multiple broken monitors

For what its worth, I too upgraded to 1.32 on Debian (Sid) and found myself with an essentially useless ZoneMinder installation. I bit the bullet and moved to 1.33.

All is fine now. 1.33 is by far the most stable ZoneMinder installation I have enjoyed to date.

Re: Trying to find my camera url

One of the HeimVision questions asked on Amazon regards Blue Iris compatibility. The answer given is no, it is not compatible with Blue Iris. Based on that answer, if true, I would not purchase that camera. Blue Iris is a commercial Windows program roughly similar to ZoneMinder. Cameras that will wo...

Re: VStarCam C-16s

Well, that's positive. I suspect it is just a matter of your getting your settings just right in ZM. Unfortunately, I changed to version 1.33.14 which has the settings arranged (and named) differently than the version you are running, and I don't remember how 132.x was done, so can't advise further....
