By any chance are your installations in built up areas? Mine are all in the boonies, and the remotely located IR sources make a huge difference.

You can get all kinds of problems using the deb-multimedia repository. It is not coordinated with Debian and uses a naming convention that overrides the Debian repositories. It's bad news. For what its worth, I too upgraded to 1.32 on Debian (Sid) and found myself with an essentially useless ZoneMinder installation. I bit the bullet and moved to 1.33.

All is fine now. 1.33 is by far the most stable ZoneMinder installation I have enjoyed to date.

Well, that's positive. I suspect it is just a matter of your getting your settings just right in ZM. Unfortunately, I changed to version 1.33.14 which has the settings arranged (and named) differently than the version you are running, and I don't remember how 132.x was done, so can't advise further....
