Re: Little usability tweaks
Mozilla Firefox (at least) seems to end up without a scroll bar in some places (like "montage" or "view all stills") but I've no idea whether that's Firefox's doing or ZoneMinder's....

Re: hauppauge 4 input card
I got myself an ImpactVCB - the one with 3 composite sockets and one scart socket. The composite socket nearest the main board doesn't work (which ties in with David Gessel's observations). By using a composite->S-Video plug I can get three video inputs, but they don't really behave in ZoneMinder un...

Re: Resolution and image clarity
Yes, I figure that's correct when the target is moving. The interlaced image does double the vertical axis resolution because the lines on even and odd frames are interlaced, but the frames are 1/50th of a second apart, so moving objects get doubled. If the target stays still for long enough to avoi...

Resolution and image clarity
I've got a camera feeding into zm via a Bt878 card. The card is apparently capable of: Maximum Width: 924 Maximum Height: 576 However, to get the frame ratio right, 768x576 would appear to be the maximum practical size. The camera I'm using is a standard PAL camera, so the 768 horizontal is over-opt...

I've had this with 1.18.1 too. The flood of "Capture failure" and "Sync failure" messages, that is.... Mar 11 14:21:52 x zmc-d0[23766]: ERR [Sync failure for frame 0: Invalid argument] Mar 11 14:21:52 x zmc-d0[23766]: ERR [Capture failure for frame 0: Invalid argument] ....repeat...

Re: Ability to specify default scale when viewing streaming
...and a default Rate would be nice too, along with a (low bandwidth) option to go straight to the "stills" view for reviewing events rather than back into stream mode. I'm enjoying playing with ZoneMinder. Definitely one of the best "toys" I've added to my system in a while. Tha...

"Delete & Prev" takes a wrong turn...
Using zm 1.18.1, I've got a couple of monitors set up, and a couple of separate users. The users are set up so that one can "see" one monitor, and the other can see the other. If I hit "Delete & Prev" on the event viewing window then the next event viewed is the next in seque...

Re: Multiple inputs from 1 single BTTV card?
Timed switching units are quite common (and therefore reasonably cheap) in non-computerised multi-camera systems. My gut feel is that multiple video cards is the way to go for computerised systems, where it's practical, though.

Re: Multiple inputs from 1 single BTTV card?
The switching unit I have holds each camera for (at most) a bit over ten seconds. Then there's a switch over where a frame or two may be a mixture of two images, or some mis-sync, followed by several frames from the new view where the frame grabber struggles to re-adjust to the levels from the camer...

Yep, I'm seeing the same symptoms with Apache here. Apache log shows requests apparently succeeding and returning different images: localhost - - [02/Mar/2004:23:47:32 +0000] "GET /~rick/images/webcam.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 13257 "-" "ZoneMinder/1.18.1" localhost - - [02/Mar...

Re: Multiple inputs from 1 single BTTV card?
One approach might be to have some sort of pre-screening of frames, but this would up the load on the CPU. A coarse-grained fingerprint, when compared against a table of fingerprints of known sources, can be used fairly successfully to determine which of N possible cameras a given frame came from. N...
