Rather then guessing it would much better for you to download one of the live CD's over at Linuxtracker.org under the Zoneminder category and install it all preconfigured and ready to add monitors. Using one of these will give you a painless installation and configuration. You have your choice of Ma...

Bring up the stream in your browser or in VLC, right click and select properties, this will give the stream resolution and other details. I'm going to guess from your settings that it's going to be 640X480 and your monitor settings in ZM are for a 320X240. If this is the case, lower the resolution o...

Can't tell you what's wrong but I can tell you how it started and how to fix it (from my experience). The monitor you are having problems with was inadvertently assigned the same video device path/channel as the one that's showing up as interference. To fix: change the video device path on the sourc...

My experience with three live CD's has been nothing but outstanding! Bluecherry's Ubuntu live cd, RDMelin's ZMliveCD 1.23.3, and my personal favorite, RDMelin's ZMLinuxOS 2008.7 (1.23.3). Bluecherry's CD is currently passing one year of continuous up time without any issues at all using a PV-(143?) ...

What you want Modect to do is exactly what it will do on a working system. I believe section length is ignored when monitor is set to Modect also. Use your buffers tab settings to determine how many pre/post motion frames you want to record. Using Modect I will Have many thousand of individual event...

ZMLarch 1.24.2-1 and ZMLinux 2008.7 live CD's
With R.D. Melin's permission, both ZMLarch 1.24.2-1 and ZMLinux 2008.7 are now available via torrent at Linuxtracker.org along with ZMLiveCD 1.23.3, ZMLiveCD 1.22.3, and ZMLiveCD 1.21.3. Any help in keeping these masterpieces available via torrent would most certainly be appreciated.
