DLink DCS-7010L RTSP Config

Does anyone know how to get a D-Link DCS 7010L working via RTSP in 1.26.3? According to the wiki it should work: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/D-Link#DCS-7010L But I just get a red link on the main console and an empty preview. The RTSP stream *does* work in VLC. I have the resolution set...

Re: Suggestions for 720p Outdoor Cam With 3x Optical Zoom?

I downloaded the user manual on the IP7361. It definitely has optical zoom. Now *how* much I don't know. But the manual clearly shows manually setting the focus and zoom on the camera as part of the setup. Note this camera is not motorized. You set the angle of the camera as well as the focus and zo...

Re: Max Storage Usage Setting

There it is. Thank you. Looks like the setting survived the upgrade. I had kept the database so I'm sure it's stored there.

The filter has an asterisk next to it. What does that mean?

Max Storage Usage Setting

After upgrading to 1.26.3 I can no longer find the "Use Max Storage Percentage" (or whatever it was called) setting. I set this in 1.24.2 to get ZM to flush out old events and keep my storage usage to about 98% or so.

Can anyone tell me where it's located now?

Hey what about this: http://www.vivotek.com/web/product/ProductDetail.aspx?Model=IP7361 It's on the HCL: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Vivotek#IP7361 And looks like it can be had for about $500: http://www.amazon.com/IP7361-Bullet-Style-Outddor-Optical-Surveillance/dp/B003JER3Q8/ref=sr_1_...

Suggestions for 720p Outdoor Cam With 3x Optical Zoom?

Any suggestions for outdoor cameras with 720p resolution and 3x optical zoom? What has set me on this search is the Trendnet TV-IP672PI: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Trendnet#TV-IP672P_and_TV-IP672PI Which is *almost* perfect at $140. All it needs is an external housing and 3x optical zo...

Re: Loftek Sentinel Outdoor IP PTZ Camera with 3x Optical Zo

Here is a camera with a 10x optical zoom, but it is more expensive: http://www.amazon.com/Foscam-FI8620-Outdoor-Camera-Optical/dp/B008L430C2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381507007&sr=8-1&keywords=foscam+ptz That's really close. The 720 resolution is probably high enough with the 10x zoom. Wh...

Re: Loftek Sentinel Outdoor IP PTZ Camera with 3x Optical Zo

Alas, out of stock at Amazon.

And so close on specs! Do you know of a 1280x800 outdoor camera with 3x optical zoom?

Thanks.

Re: Apache Setup After 1.26.3 Upgrade

Awesome cpu load improvement! I was running at around 8 before the upgrade. Now I'm at around 1.2 to 1.5 after enabling 32-bit color and the -msse2 switch at compile time. That will really help as I upgrade to 720p cameras. Now on to tackling some of the bugs I am finding.

Re: Apache Setup After 1.26.3 Upgrade

I decided to go ahead on pull the trigger on the CentOS 6 transfer process. I don't want to call it an upgrade since it really is a complete reinstall. So I didn't get a chance to try your final suggestions. Sorry. I'm in the midst of all the niggling steps that I've done several dozen times but whi...

Re: Apache Setup After 1.26.3 Upgrade

So I did some tinkering, which joggled my mind, and the following is how I would do this. I just tested this in a vm. Works. Wow. Awesome. Thanks for all your hard work. I went through all the steps and did get working RPMS. One small step, I did need to 'RPM -e -nodeps' the existing libjpeg packag...

Re: Apache Setup After 1.26.3 Upgrade

Good question. It looks like the header files are included in the official RPM's from the developer: Got that. I also saw that the libraries are installed to /opt which is confusing to my install which expects /usr/lib64. So I linked the libraries in /opt/libjpeg-turbo/lib64 to /usr/lib64 and copie...

Re: Apache Setup After 1.26.3 Upgrade

RPM's can be downloaded here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libjpeg-turbo/files/1.3.0/ Well go ahead, make a liar out of me :) I searched all over for this. Nerdcred--. Do you know if a -devel package is required for compilation? I don't see one there. The x86_64 RPM installed fine. Edit: Answeri...
