Re: Debian 12 "Bookworm" with Zoneminder 1.36.33 Install Procedure
The Officiel Guide has a config error in apache You need to use /var/cache/zoneminder instead of /var/cache/zoneminder/cache What you should change: Edit the apache config for zoneminder sudo nano /etc/apache2/conf-available/zoneminder.conf Change the path in red color: # Order matters. This alias ...

Re: Debian 12 "Bookworm" with Zoneminder 1.36.33 Install Procedure
Thanks for the help but unfortunately I still have the issue. I cleared /var/cache/zoneminder/cache It isn't my browser issue (I have tried Firefox and Chrome on two different computers) I have two other remote Zoneminder servers on Bullseye still so I will not be upgrading them to Bookworm. I thin...

Re: [SOLVED] ZM supplies NO password when connecting to DB as www-data
Actually 640 is the correct permission. However it needs to be root:www-data The ZM on the Debian repo is never right and needs a lot of "adjustments." The install procedure (https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_12_Bookworm_with_Zoneminder_1.36.33) does have the correct permission and owners...

Re: ZM supplies NO password when connecting to DB as www-data
That is because ZM uses zmpass/zmuser to access the database. These settings are found in /etc/zm/zm.conf. However, you should not change them without knowing how to change the zm database user/password and permissions. Ah, Debian 12 has some serious issues right now. I'm still struggling with insta...

I have been able to get Zoneminder 1.36.33 to work, sort of, on Debian 12. I have used the install instructions on the WIKI (https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_12_Bookworm_with_Zoneminder_1.36.33) whuch work best for me and the instructions on readthe docs (https://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/lates...

Re: Debian 12 "Bookworm" with Zoneminder 1.36.33 Install Procedure
That might help but there may be some other issues. See: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_12_Bookworm_with_Zoneminder_1.36.33 where you can view the zoneminder.conf file. It is likely the ZM in the Debian repo overwrote the zoneminder.conf file. You may need to add the php entry cited there as wel...

Re: Pictures and videos not showing in the UI
What install procedure did you use? MySQL or Mariadb? I recommend: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Server_or_Desktop_Zoneminder_1.36.x I did a test install last week with Ubuntu 22.04 and everything worked in Zoneminder. However, these days I prefer Debian. A lot less junk like snaps and cloud st...

Re: Debian 12 "Bookworm" with Zoneminder 1.36.33 Install Procedure
I have done some basic testing with this release procedure. Cams can be installed, events captured and replayed and ZmNinja works. I should add that I have not tried to upgrade from Bullseye to Bookworm. You may be better off doing a fresh install as upgrades can sometimes cause issues as I discover...

Re: server access problem
To be honest I have not had a great deal of faith in Ubuntu since 18.04. 20.04 started changes that made installs more difficult for folks new to Linux. 22.04 is even worse! While I author several of the install procedures and I have few problems installing Zoneminder I still prefer Debian. I have s...

Use Mariadb instead of MySQL for fewer issues.

Debian 12 "Bookworm" with Zoneminder 1.36.33 Install Procedure
Debian 12 Bookworm has been released with Zoneminder 1.36.33. As of this writing there are no install files on the zmrepo but they should be added in a short while. See the Zoneminder WIKI for install procedure using version 1.36.33 contained with the Bookworm distro: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Deb...

Re: URL for use in Octoprint
I have a couple of my ZM cams streaming on a web server. I've set up a simple user and password and limited that user's access to only view specific cams. Here is the HTML code I use: <img src="http://192.168.1.4/zm/cgi-bin/nph-zms?scale=66&mode=jpeg&maxfps=5&monitor=1&user=user...

Re: How to implement 'Monitor Center Room'
One way is to have your Zoneminder server located in a secure space away from people. In your "control room" have a PC with as many monitors as you want running any OS you want and view the cams via a web browser. I ran Zoneminder in a warehouse operation where several of the staff had an ...
