If you run sudo -u www-data /usr/local/bin/zmfix manually, what do you see?

I also thought you were up and running with 1.24.3 since you were using H264 in eyeZm? Or did you just patch your 1.24.2 install?

Does the web-interface stream video? If so, just look at the source of the web-page... that will give you a clue of how it's loading the stream. If you see something enclosed in an <img></img> tag, you may be looking at an MJPEG stream for example.

I made use of the ld.so.preload file... if you stick your shared-lib in /etc/ld.so.preload, it will automatically get loaded no matter what. That might help in your instance.

For eg:

srv1@viatest:~/httpsegmenter$ cat /etc/ld.so.preload
/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so

I recall seeing this not too long ago myself, but now can't remember why or what I did... it doesn't happen now on 1.24.3 to me. Is it actually stopping ZM From working, or is it just an error that it spits out?

IF mjpeg meets your needs and is fast enough for you on your networks, then you can stick with it. H264 is better since it has much much lower bandwidth, and supports much higher frame-rates for that lower bandwidth. But it has more latency in starting up. Drema, just run a zmupdate.pl -f when you downgrade to 1.24.2. You should see it remove a few Database options, and then be done.

For your zmfix issue, can you check if zmfix is actually there? When you run make install on 1.24.2, does it install zmfix for you?
