Don’t use Munt but here is script for Ubuntu 20.04 that will probably guide you. I suspect it is mysql_secure_installation.
Your error means the Zm account for db was not created and will also mean no zm db.

Re: NFS mount? No video
Possible silly question but under storage you have a Videowriter either passthrough or encode enabled? Not even sure if one of these defaults.
But without that zm would just be storing jpegs that it uses to stream during playback.

I am pretty much doing the same with a Storage Area on my NAS, except with apache. All mine are www-data owned.

Re: Downloaded video is not working
Start by trying an event with Audio off just to eliminate issues. I forget if passthrough fixes non AAC audio, which is what you ffmpeg command would do.

Re: Getting time stamp on Video with H264 passthrough
Girkers, Nice idea, I think Icon was talking about being able to add overlays to passthrough video. But might not be so soon, unless someone else sees it and wants to check out how to do it. Project can always use people willing to roll up their sleeves. I just put the camera timestamp on as I like ...

Re: Master on Ubuntu 20.04
Maybe I will check Mint sometime but that script flies through on Ubuntu 20.04 and gives me a ready system. I do change ppa to zoneminder-master to get 1.35. You got non h264 cameras I take it? I am not so good on them or the remote monitor side at all. But I think that is a mismatch in frame size w...

Re: Master on Ubuntu 20.04
Might have missed it as it doesn't list a version. I did this recently just changed ppa to master.

Re: difference ffmpeg and remote?
Remote uses its own code for Connecting to camera, aka RTSP etc, then hands frames to ffmpeg to decode. Ffmpeg uses ffmpeg libs to do that. Probably points to transport side being your problem, maybe a translation error here as known lubricate problem doesn’t seem correct. Do you mean picture turns ...

Re: Digital zoom
Not answering from any knowledge of your object detection, but the camera outputs its resolution and normally everything works with that. Digital Zoom is just the sensor being higher resolution than the screen so you can "zoom" but all you are doing is looking at same image just getting cl...

Re: ffmpeg not beeing used even if activated
It is always decoding, even in monitor mode for use in Live view. Need a new Live view method so we can pass a stream to browser without decoding first. In your CLI example I think you are only copying the video stream, which is exactly what we do for writing the stream to a file, but after that ZMA...

Re: ffmpeg not beeing used even if activated
Zoneminder uses ffmpeg libraries libavformat etc, not the CLI ffmpeg program. The running components zmc and zma for each monitor are what are using those libraries and where you will see any impact in cpu usage. Changing source type changes what libraries these components use in the background.
