Re: What happened to the Video Save Option

Try clicking "Export" when viewing the event. I thought it had always been like this?

Same image on both bttv-channels.

I'm using an LMLBT44 with all eight inputs on Debian Squeeze. Worked just fine on Lenny, but after upgrade I get the same image on both of each video interfaces channels. Anyone?

Re: Root partition filling up with stray files.

Alright, setting monitors to "Record" prevents duplicate files in /tmp.

Root partition filling up with stray files.

Hi, I´m running ZM 1.24.4 on stable Debian squeeze. The events dir is symlinked to a large (6TB) RAID, but whenever I start ZM with any monitors set to "Monitor" (doesn´t matter whether they are enabled or not) I will notice free space on my root partition reducing. I traced this to jpg fi...

Re: Accessing Zoneminder from 200 miles away

Why are you using Gadmin (whatever it is) for remote access? As long as your ZM host has a static IP (or is connected to a router with a static IP) you can use port forwarding to access your host through http and ssh. For added security, set up a VPN solution for connecting to your home network. You...

Re: Can´t stream from monitors.

Turned out to be cgi-bin permissions preventing zms from running :)

Re: Zoneminder or Apache hanging when watching events

This happens to me as well, usually after streaming for ~5 minutes and closing the window. I had to make a cron script that kills (hangs) and restarts apache every fifteen minutes.

I can confirm that the DCS-2130 is compatible. You´ll have to get streams through http://user:pass@IP/videoX.mjpg.

Can´t stream from monitors.

I´m running 1.24.4 on Debian 6.0.4 with a D-Link DCS 2130. I´ve set up the monitor, and I can review "stills" of events, but can´t stream recorded or live images with Firefox (I get just a white screen and the fps indicator does´t show anything). I didn´t try IEX with cambozola. Capture re...

ZM 1.24.2/Debian 5.0 - Suggestions.

I finally managed to get ZM working on Lenny. Google and Bing saved the day as this wasn't as straightforward as it used to be. For instance I got the same video feed on both channels of my bttv-inputs (had to set CAPTURES_PER_FRAME to 8). I'd appreciate it if anyone would like to provide some sugge...

Well, 100% image quality helped a bit, but let's say I just for kicks want to store the events in the maximum possible resolution without actually upscaling them, which resolution should I configure ZM to use for the specific three cameras?

And what is the ACTUAL output resolution (in h*w pixels) of these three cameras?

One last thing, which palette should I be using? Using RGB24 now, it works, but might be the cause of the crappy images? Seeing the other thread about the "lines" due to shmem, where the images were far better?

Worked for me too, but the hash has more characters, which "algo" is used by the "Password" function?

OK. Great, thanks :). Is 384x288 "compatible" with the actual ouput from the cameras, though? It won't cause any distortion like if you don't do a linear resize on both axis? The reason I'm asking is that stored images aren't exactly impressive in quality. Might be JPEG-"noise", ...
