Vivotek

Is there a more exhaustive list then on the ZM wiki? I am tempted to buy what I want and see if I can make it work. But having never used ZM ...

Thanks for that review mcm.

It does look impressive. I guess it'd want to be at that price!

Does it work with ZM ok?

It looks like the php version you are running is not what Zoneminder expected.

I'd say tackle that problem first, then see what issues are left in the logs.

NB: What version of php it wants, I am not sure sorry. Will need to look that up.

Its seems Weatherproof and Night capable is a hard mix to come by. Found only a few all over US$700 though. :(

Thanks Flash_ Now to choose some cameras... I'm about to buy a Mobotix Q24M-D11-Sec If you aren't in a hurry I'd be glad to let you know how it works out. I plan on powering and networking it with a Netgear FS728TP (10/100 x 24, 1000 x 4, POE on all 10/100 ports, 195W POE Budget), and for a NAS I a...

This camera sounds too good to be true. Is it? Anyone own one or had experience up close?

Looking to use 4 to cover all 4 outside walls of the house.

Thanks.

Don't forget about PoE splitters that cost about £15 (linksys and d-link) and allow any 12v or 5v camera to work at the end of a poe line. I've used these extensively with axis and y-cams for several years now. Cool thanks. How do they work exactly? Is there anyway to gain PoE off a normally, non-...

Thanks for that link timcraig.

I see some cameras there that look like they are good candidates but I don't know enough to know (mcm's post confused me :) )

I think I need to find some and then do some research.
Thanks for putting me on the right track all.

Another thing i will say from experance make sure the electrician who you hire knows that you CAN NOT splice cat5. Idiot we had spliced then in the Office 6 terminations 2 lines. So hang on, they tried to run 6 connections through 2 cables? As if you were just using it for regular RJ11 telephone co...

Does the URL contain a typo?
