Re: setting post event record time

Exactly! This will also eliminate short duration closely timed events and cause them to be shown as 1 event. I've eliminated 2/3rds of my events by finding the sweet spot for this setting.

Re: Alarms on cloudy days

Try changing alarm frame count to value of 6 also. There is another setting that figures into this:Reference Image Blend %ge on the general tab. From the wiki: Reference Image Blend %ge Each analysed image in ZoneMinder is a composite of previous images and is formed by applying the current image as...

Alarm Frame Count is a setting that dictates how many alarm frames in a row must occur before triggering an event. Overload Frame Ignore Count - I usually start with a value of 4 for outside mo...

Re: IP video door entry

Re: Motion detection

While your messing with the buffers; I like to see a couple seconds prior to the event trigger so I've increased my pre buffer to taste. Pre uses additional resources but you said that wasn't a problem. The post buffer doesn't increase load at all so don't be afraid to have as long a trailer as you ...

Re: Motion detection

The difference is the amount of processing that's required. Fast will be a lower load on the system then Best sensitivity. For what you're trying to do try selecting no preset, change blobs to pixels, change percent to pixels, and play around. Get ready for a lot of the latter. There's no way for me...
