Exactly! This will also eliminate short duration closely timed events and cause them to be shown as 1 event. I've eliminated 2/3rds of my events by finding the sweet spot for this setting.

Overload Frame Ignore Count ignores only extreme changes in frames and normal alarm frames are unaffected. When you setup the monitor are you using FFmpeg as a source? Pretty much need to for that protocol

Thank you. I was beginning to wonder; not too many successful Debian or Ubuntu without compiling an older version of ffmpeg and building against it.

Some ffmpeg problems are resolved by enabling it in the options section and entering the proper paths; although it's reported that the latest versions aren't working in some distributions. FFMpeg is very useful as it handles most stream formats with ease and fairly automatic.

While your messing with the buffers; I like to see a couple seconds prior to the event trigger so I've increased my pre buffer to taste. Pre uses additional resources but you said that wasn't a problem. The post buffer doesn't increase load at all so don't be afraid to have as long a trailer as you ...

Increase the post buffer to 5 or more seconds. The value is in frames so you do the math. I use a 130 frame buffer with monitors set at 10 fps.

The difference is the amount of processing that's required. Fast will be a lower load on the system then Best sensitivity. For what you're trying to do try selecting no preset, change blobs to pixels, change percent to pixels, and play around. Get ready for a lot of the latter. There's no way for me...
