@rdmerlin Thanks for that. Please also tell me what display depth you are running. It can be important, but I'm not sure in this one. I see rgb16 in your xvinfo. Maybe this can be used after little modification. I will let you know if I get some card that supports this. Try 0.6 It must work, but not...

Could you make this fall back to x11 display if no Xv adaptor is found?
Best regards,
Ross
please send me output of xvinfo command, and tell me the model of your card. Maybe it supports xv but in other format.
I will also do the fallback and rescalling in software(ugly).
You can create such filter.
Look at the example "purgewhenfull".
Open events list - click on some camera events.
Click on ShowFilterWindow, select PurgeWhenFull in list Use Filter you can then specify your criterias and save it. It will be run by the time you specify in zm options.
No problems, I only just placed the order for some bits and have yet to order a Graphics Card. Do you know what would be a current "Good Card"? Would My Radeon 9200 or 9500 work ok? Many thanks, Mark. Simply check if it is working. Probably it will be OK. The graphics card is not so impor...
Sorry for telling that g450 is one of good cards for my viewer. I tried it only with tvtime - it was better than tnt1 as I said. Today I tried with my viewer xlib_shm and it doesn't work - RGB xvideo is not supported. I will try to make a conversion of rgb to yuw and see how it works, but currently ...
OK, so I'm guessing I'd like to be using your viewer so ordering another graphics card looks likely. Without going too crazy, what would be an adequate Linux compatible card to go for? Almost every ati/nvidia card is supported. I prefer matrox ones for very good driver - used g450 costs around 4$ o...
Hi mark! Graphics card is not so important, if you want to use my viewer - xlib_shm it could be - I prefer matrox g450 for that. Also nvidia tnt1 works ok(but have higher cpu usage when displaying). The athlon 3200 should be ok even for 16-20 local cameras(I have never used network). 1GB is very, ve...
since no one wants to reply, let me refine my question. The current card we have is: Digital Video Recoder Model Num. HICAP50A / B techwell TW 99 Will this card work on ZoneMinder or do I have to get another one? and whats the difference between older cards and newer cards..? I have tried to get HI...
1. On the same computer where I have Zoneminder installed, I need to do another work such as compilling, sound editing, archieving and so on. This jobs are very CPU intensive, so I need to grant ZM the highest priority to ensure that it will work fine regardless what else is running in my system. H...
