Re: Record High-res H264 streams 24/7 with low CPU Load
Small update to the script - I screwed up setting the StorageId in the event. This will only effect you if you're using multiple storage areas. Attached is version 0.3 There's also an issue with zmaudit getting enthusiastic about clearing out the events as there are no associated Frame records (Fram...

Re: "on-demand" mocord - constant h264 record with modect as-needed?
Maybe not exactly what you're asking for but this gives you a way of constantly recording High-res H264 24/7 without crippling your system (running zmc on a bunch of 4MP cameras needs a load of horsepower). I use MODECT on the low-res streams from the cameras to provide motion events and I can go lo...

Re: zmc cpu usage with monitor and h264 passthrough
The exact one I need, with a small change. I would like to low resolution stream in "modect" trigger event recording by high stream (h264 passthrough) in "none" mode. Would you be so nice to change your script to do the above? Ah... that's kind of where I came in (triggering hig...

Record High-res H264 streams 24/7 with low CPU Load
Even in RECORD mode with H264 passthrough enabled, Zoneminder extracts frames from the stream (confirmed by iconner in this thread ). This obviously creates a system load and a significant one when there's a number of high-res cameras involved. The attached script uses ffmpeg to record the high-res ...

Re: zmc cpu usage with monitor and h264 passthrough
OK... I couldn't resist a quick experiment and it does seem to do the job. I set the camera function to None and running the following script, the camera collects events and they replay through ZM (with a curious log entry see later). Here's the, crude, script (note: I'm running this on ZM 1.32.0). ...

Re: zmc cpu usage with monitor and h264 passthrough
I'm in the same(ish) boat. Upgraded to 1.32 in the hope that I could record 24/7 from a number of High-Res cameras with passthrough, only to find that zmc still eats CPU in RECORD mode. However.... I have a thought... Could one record N minute chunks from the cameras with ffmpeg and inject 'Continuo...

Re: 1.31.XX for Debian Stretch?
Thanks iconner, that repo got me 1.31.19 On a clean and shiny Debian Stretch the sql creation has a few issues. Not sure if this is the place to report it but I've attached a diff of the one in the .deb and the version I ended up with. I'm not sure my hackery was right but at least mysql didn't comp...

Ubiqity UVC G3 blocky video problem
Hi, I have a Ubiquity UVC G3 IP Camera that I'm trying to use with ZM (I have Axis and Hikvision cameras using ffmpeg/rtsp so I don't think it's a generic ZM setup problem). Using ffmpeg/rtsp the resulting video is very 'blocky' - almost pixelated. If I use Remote and jpeg snapshots the resultant im...

Is there a repo for 1.31.XX for Debian Stretch?
If not, what's the easiest way of getting 1.31 installed on Stretch?

BUMP! I have the same problem with my Philips PCVC740K camera, see this topic . I have exactly the same problem here. My PCVC740K worked well under 1.23 but is broken with weird colours on 1.24.2 (I've even tried the svn version and that's also broken). It still works fine with things like Cheese an...

zma running for a Nodect camera
Any ideas why zma should be running for a Nodect camera with no zones?
FWIW it's an AXIS 211 and I'm using the Axis motion detection and zmtrigger to fire off events. Zma for this camera is 'burning' ~8% of my CPU
