Re: API settings are too difficult for beginners
ZmNinja does not work because the API was not set successfully. My system is Debian bullseye with web services apache2, php7.4 API test failed (http://server/zm/api/monitors.json), response Error: The requested address '/zm/api/' was not found on this server. Who can send me the settings of the API...

Re: Installing 1.36 On Ubuntu 22.04
The instructions you followed initially are incomplete and confusing. The easy way to install Zoneminder is found on the WIKI here: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Server_or_Desktop_Zoneminder_1.36.x I have run the install script many times and it just works! My recommendation is to use Mariadb i...

Re: After upgrade, video streams slow and unstable
I compared your system to mine. I run an older Dell Optiplex small frame i3 4 core with 8 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD. I run three Amcrest PoE cams at 1080P 10 FPS capturing and two of those streaming the secondary stream at 704x480. Ubuntu 22.04. My memory is 3.4 GB used and 3.8 cached. Swap file is usin...

Re: Passthrough live view
Does using the Camera Passthrough in Storage/Video writer work for you? I loaded up my Pi4 with Zoneminder as a test and am please with the performance with two cams at 1080P. Reducing the resolution I'm sure I could add several more cams.

Re: Separate Wifi network for cameras
Hello, I'm kind of new to ZM and have only limited knowledge about Linux in general. With the help of many other post I managed to install ZM running on Debin 11/PC Engines APU4. I only use a few cameras but all traffic is going over my ISP router slowing down everything. Since the APU4 has its own...

Not the Diskstation version. What Linux distro and version are you using to run Zoneminder?alhaddar wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 10:41 am Version: 7.1.1-42962 Update 2

Re: how can change storage in zoneminder to synology nas
Slow down a bit. Fooling with fstab can ruin the system if you make a mistake! I asked what you are using for an OS for a reason and that is to give you specifics. Simply mapping a share on a remote device can cause problems if Zoneminder tries to start before the share is connected. Some time ago w...
