Re: zmeventnotification: Error parsing config:/etc/zm/objectconfig.ini
OK... I changed my working directory on the server (where I'm running the command) to /tmp/zm, which is writeable by www-data, the user I'm invoking as, and it created the file by the name of (incl quotes): 'index.php?view=image&eid=1407&fid=snapshot&username=<DELETED - username>&pas...

Re: zmeventnotification: Error parsing config:/etc/zm/objectconfig.ini
Here's the output (from the command line command): --2020-06-21 21:48:12-- https://<DELETED - my server's FQDN>/zm/index.php?view=image&eid=1407&fid=snapshot&username=<DELETED - username>&password=<DELETED - password> Resolving <DELETED - my server's FQDN> (<DELETED - my server's FQD...

Re: zmeventnotification: Error parsing config:/etc/zm/objectconfig.ini
Stepped through your instructions. No change, same errors. (I'd already had a 5 second wait on the monitor that I'm using to test with: I'm guessing that you thought that perhaps the files weren't written yet). Need to trace what is happening right here in utils.py line 190: input_file = opener.open...

Re: zmeventnotification: Error parsing config:/etc/zm/objectconfig.ini
I also fed the same URL construct to 'lynx' from a command line on the server and it is able to fetch the snapshot.jpg file. URL vs authentication scheme issue? if g.config['basic_user']: g.logger.debug('Basic auth config found, associating handlers',level=2) password_mgr = urllib.request.HTTPPasswo...

Re: Unable to play back HD events in web UI
Servers shouldn't show anything? Not unless you're using multiple servers. That's my understanding. I suspect your issue was your web config.

Re: zmeventnotification: Error parsing config:/etc/zm/objectconfig.ini
Yes, pasting the constructed URL (same as logged above but with a different/new EID [one I just triggered] and the username and password [verified correct]) and it pops up just fine. Somewhere along the line I realized that ZMES_PICTURE_URL played no part in this. The ZM user I'm using only has View...

Re: Beginner performance questions
Insects and IR... I disabled IR in my cameras because insects were attracted to the lights. I can do this because my cameras are all near motion sensor lights, which are tripped when anything (other than insects) are wiggling out there.

Re: zmeventnotification: Error parsing config:/etc/zm/objectconfig.ini
OK [sorry]. I failed to catch the extra debugging output (which clearly shows that secrets.ini was being parsed): doing lots of different debugging and was getting a bit punch-drunk. 06/15/20 19:09:31 zmesdetect_m1[15750] INF zm_detect.py:178 [---------| hook version: 5.15.4, ES version: 5.15 , Open...

Re: zmeventnotification: Error parsing config:/etc/zm/objectconfig.ini
I can copy and paste the ZMES_PICTURE_URL string in to a browser, changing EVENTID to a valid event number, and it works perfectly well. OK. Turned on debug for zmesdetect_m1. Here's what I got: animation: Traceback:Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python3.7/urllib/request.py&q...

Interestingly I set it back to "snapshot" and it's working. So... now I'm off to tackle getting hooks to work!

What are you wanting/trying to do?
ssmtp and zmeventnotification are two different things.

zmeventnotification: Error parsing config:/etc/zm/objectconfig.ini
I'm trying to debug but cannot find where to enable additional debugging. This is what gets logged in ZM's logs (zmesdetect_m1.log): 2020-06-14 19:29:25 zmesdetect_m1 26865 ERR Error was:<urlopen error [Errno -2] Name or service not known> utils.py 328 2020-06-14 19:29:24 zmesdetect_m1 26865 ERR Err...

Re: zmeventnotification - FCM push returned a 200
OK. That got me the test picture. Hope I never see THAT in my driveway! With "fixes" in place I am now able to get an event picture pushed. There were several issues needing corrections: 1. In secrets.ini I had to change ZMES_PICTURE_URL to use "fid=1" from "fid=objdet...

Re: trying to get zmninja working
Can you do a simple ping to your ZM server using its FQDN via a cellular data path? When you state "WiFi" you need to clarify whether this is a connection to your local network or not. Your server's WAN connection is being provided, how? (what's the relation to that and to your local WiFi-...

Re: Zoneminder UI not functioning properly after update to 1.34.15
What version were you last running in which things worked properly (that is, what version did you originally upgrade from)?
