Re: Zoneminder kills itself after a few hours

Which version of 1.30 is? There was one that had a memory leak and kept filling the /run/shm directory (shared memory). Could you post the output of the di command (or df -h, if you do not have di installed).

Hope it helps,

Re: User Names cannot have spaces

I believe this is a rule in some operating systems, not a bug.

Check that your /dev/shm or /run/shm partition is not full.

Re: Does ZM 1.30.x use hardware acceleration?

Then, the question is if the installed ffmpeg version is using it, not if ZM is... isn´t it?

Not sure which distro are you using, but usually, the PATH_ZMS is set to /zm/cgi-bin/nph-zms.

Re: which hardware for 5 IP cams?

Hi,

A regular mini-ITX board could do the job, SBCs like Rpi3, Odroid XU4 are able too, but you will find their CPU quite overloaded.

Hope it helps,

Upgraded on my system (Ubuntu 14.04 from 1.30.1), no issues.

Thanks a lot for the huge effort of few developers!

Re: What hardware can handle more cameras than RPi3?

Hi,

IP Cameras, different resolutions. 2-> 640x480, 1-> 320x240, 1-> 1280x720.

Using Modect at that time, then I switched to Mocord, because I installed an external hard drive. I have to tell that the CPU was pretty high loaded, so I decided to move to an mini-ITX board.

Re: Geovision no ONVIF models

Check the options listed here (similar to the one you mentioned) http://www.ispyconnect.com/man.aspx?n=Geovision You could use VLC to access the camera stream and see if it works. Check that the camera resolution in ZM matches the one set in the camera side, and that you could access the webserver o...

Re: Zoneminder&Telegram (event instant messaging to your phone!)

Hi, I'm not activating anything from ZM, the Telegram daemon is running in the same computer where ZM is installed. The Telegram daemon is running a LUA script that is looking for some special words to be received, so if one on them is received, the command associated to that word is executed. I wil...
