Ive got the Cambozola java applet, as the system wouldnt let me move it to the ZM folder, specifyed in the options to be in my home folder, where...

What error do you get?

Try putting your command in a bash script and have the filter launch that instead.

edit: NM...looks like you got your email issue handled.

Have you checked /tmp/zmfilter.log to see if the filters are being run? Check that log out...it should provide you with a lot of info.

A single chip 4 port card should still get 5fps. Sounds like the system is overloaded. What is your load, and what are you running it on? I gotta disagree. I have not seen a single chip 4 port card do over 3FPS with all 4 ports in use....2.5-3FPS is simply all its capable of. Its a limit of the car...

I hear ya' on the support issue, but to be honest, in a camera like this all I ask is that they replace it if it dies during its warranty period. I did contact gadspot via live chat to query them on a wide angle version of this cam and got a real person right away who seemed to know what they were t...

In general fog doesn't cause much motion. :) Yea, well, I guess you don't get the thick fog like we get then...it causes *lots* of motion detection to be triggered when it rolls in around here at night unless you use zone settings that are so conservative that they are useless under low light condi...

Rain and fog?

I am in southern California in a beach community but we get rain on occasion and fog quite often. I know a lot of you blokes are in areas with real weather....how do you deal with rain and fog when it comes to motion detection? Anyone have a creative way to stop zoneminder from creating huge events ...

It looks like you are doing things correctly, so I am not real sure what the issue is. If you would like me to ssh to your box and check it out first hand I would be happy to do that for you, just PM me with the info. About the only other advice I can give would be to move your old ZM source dir out...

You just need to add a 2nd zone (or more) for the area you need to have greater sensitivity in and configure it with more aggressive detection settings than the main zone.

Did you do a 'make clean' then re-run configure on your ZM build after you compiled ffmpeg? Also, did you remove any ffmpeg dev libs that may have been installed on your system?

Gadspot GS232...exceptional night vision for $65

I just picked up a Gadspot GS232 to try out and just wanted to make a note of it here. If you are looking for a cheap cam with very exceptional night vision, this one is hard to beat. Its a large bullet camera (120x55x48 mm) and it has a pretty narrow field of view but its IR LED's are really bright...

I was having a hard time getting wurfl to work properly (still looking into the issue) but used the quick-n-dirty hack that Gool listed above to enable support for my Treo 650 for now. Works well. I connect to my LAN via PPTP and then I can access ZM in a tidy interface. You can access the normal in...

Not sure which tarball you are using, but ffmpeg is typically best built from svn since its the only current source. I think that everything from sourceforge is way out of date. svn co svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg That will check it out, then just cd to ffmpeg 'make' and 'make install'...

Tnx, have to check up this UPS. My info seems to be from the dinosaur-age when they were at least some 1000 USD. Nah...these days you can get surprisingly good UPS' for under $100. Even those little APC powerstrip/UPS combos that you can get for close to $50 work pretty well, just make sure you get...

Just wanted to say thanks for the stream viewer. I use it often and the performance is very good. I have been using the gl version....no issues. Here is a KDE desktop shortcut that I setup to launch the viewer. You will need to adjust the path to the binary and the options to want to use for xlib_sh...
