I assume when you say storage path, you mean where videos are saved, and not where zoneminder is installed.

Installing ZM on nginx, is more work if you are not comfortable with web servers. By default it runs apache. More info will be here on these forums.

6 720p at 15fps each... That is a lot depending on how many cores, and how up to date the cpu is. You only have 4, and its a VM.

Lower FPS on all cameras to something like 5, get it stable, then increase fps afterwards. Use passthrough.

Looks like remote can't parse the stream. Try ffmpeg, or libvlc source types, or a different path.

Try Onvif, and the camera web portal - there might be multiple streams.

Some cameras can offer mjpeg, and rtsp streams. Others offer only rtsp streams.

Don't put localhost in hostname for cameras, unless the camera is running on the zm server.

What is make/model of camera? What CPU are you using? How much RAM? What is FPS and Resolution of camera?

Sounds like you are running out of memory/cpu or its a camera that isn't supported well.

Section length is 600 by default. That means the camera records 10 minutes at a time.

It's possible that the camera is not supported. Did you try libVLC after removing max FPS? If you can get it to work for 20 seconds, it's likely there is a way to get it to work 100%.
