Re: Error /var/lock/zm & /tmp/zm
I had already followed the Ubuntu 14.04 - ZM 1.26.5 or later to 1.29.0 or the latest PPA version instructions and that is how my old 1.28 setup along with 4 years of events got reset (my own fault for not having a backup) I just went through again and still the same result. Can you provide some dire...

Error /var/lock/zm & /tmp/zm
I am upgrading what was an existing 1.28 ZM running on Ubuntu server 14.04 LTS. While performing the upgrade, my configuration and database disappeared so I am treating this like a fresh install. The system is currently running but I cannot stream. Following the install wiki for Ubuntu, I get to the ...

Re: Gapless Playback will not stick
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I had to make some adjustments in my Web Server Proxy running on my Sophos UTM. I had to turn off Cookie Signing for now until I can figure out how to re-enable it.

I an running the ZM package under Ubuntu and since updating to 1.27 when I play back events, I cannot watch the video in gapless playback mode. Re: Help Setting up Plustek 580i Encoder
This device doesn't support non-authenticated access. I actually have the manufacturer Plustek loading Zoneminder to try to help troubleshoot. I will post outcome back here. They are new to the market and this device is really well built (no fan required in a nice all aluminum finned housing) and fa...

Help Setting up Plustek 580i Encoder
I just received a new Plustek VS580i 8 port/120fps analog to IP capture device. This unit looks very promising for a low cost analog to IP encoding device at $275. The 580i has dual streams per capture port in MJPEG and H264. It supports rtsp streaming, is fully ONVIF complaint. I can access the vid...

Re: Plustek VS 540i Analog to IP
I am going to call the manufacturer of this PlusTek device to see if it would be supported in Zoneminder. Odds are they won't know what I am talking about. What specific feature should I ask for to determine if this device will work in Zoneminder? Update.. Here are specs from wesbite: http://plustek...

Plustek VS 540i Analog to IP
Sorry for the cross posting...
Looking to virtualize my Zoneminder setup and looking for an Analog camera to IP to make the step. Anyone have experience with this device? Looks like about $30-$45/port which is affordable.

I am getting ready to vitalize my Zoneminder computer and need an affordable analog to IP solution and this seems like a great option (120fps at about $45 per camera)

Event Video Windows Details
I would like to see a few more event details in the video viewer window like Date, Start TIme, Length of event, Camera, Etc. When progressing through a set of events using next/previous links and especially when viewing the video at less than 100% where you can's see the timestamp on the video it wo...

AJAX Front End
Has anyone considered whether a redesigned front end for Zoneminder using AJAX would be beneficial? It would seem to me that it would work well since a lot of the database queries in Zonminder involve large amount of returned elements. It might also bring a bit more snappyness to front end. I don't ...
