Foscam FI8903W IR camera: can't stop recording

Today I installed a wireless Foscam and installed zonealarm. This is the only camera.. Only 1 zone, and in fact, everything left as default (I had deleted the monitor and recreated it; this time I did not define any fancy zones) It seems no matter what I do, it records. I had to set the FPS and Alar...

Grainy images cause Recording

My USB Webcam is (Philips) pretty grainy, especially when it's capturing areas that are black, or dark. I cannot seem to get ZM to ignore the grain, and it always stays in the ALERT mode and keeps recording. I tried changing its zone to something tiny, to a "low sensitivity" preset, and th...

When I try the video.cgi, the Watch window does not display an image, just that "missing image" frame icon of the browser (firefox under linux). Likewise, no events are recorded. In syslog, I see lots of zma_m2[5953]: WAR [Waiting for capture daemon] last message repeated 31 times messages...

Well I bought that camera. It's also called "Grand Wireless IP Camera". I assume it's Grandtec. It works OK, I like the fact that the LEDs come on when its too dark. The manual was useless - just showing you the wonderful windows gadgets they included on the CD, which I never installed. Ho...

Grandtec camera errors and ZM

Hi there. I got a Grantec wifi IP camera. I set the FPS to be 1.0 , so as not to tax the camera or the wifi AP (linksys), however I still get Dec 17 20:40:49 mail zmc_m2[11158]: INF [Starting Capture] Dec 17 20:40:55 mail zmc_m2[11158]: ERR [Select timed out] Dec 17 20:40:55 mail zmdc[10946]: ERR ['...

wifi camera works but wondering about its FTP mode

Hi there. I recently got a wifi webcam, that has the feature to FTP the captured image to a site of your chosing. I tried that feature, and it just creates a new file at the destination, every second, with no option to overwrite the previous image, or to even limit the number of files created. Any i...

Re: The buildSelect function has a minor bug

Koray: Do you still have the Turkish translation of Zoneminder?
If so, could you upload it somewhere?

Thanks!

Is there an option to delete stills+streams if the score reads 0 ?
That would solve my problem.

Thanks!

Many thanks for your help! Although I see the STATS as enabled in Options, I could not find the "stats" link anywhere. I also noticed that the events that the webcam create are not called "alarms", as the number of alarms reads 0, but it still records these streams to disk anyway...

Philips 740 webcam, always Status: Record

Hi there. I have two cameras hooked to a ZM that I recently installed. One is a "proper" wifi camera, and the other one is a USB webcam, a Philips 740. They are both in the same room, same place currently. They are both set for Mocord. When the room is dark, the wifi camera creates zero ev...

Image way too bright

Hi there. I noticed that my Philips 740 camera is recording too brightly during daytime, almost no image, lots of white areas. How can I reduce the shutter speed so less exposure is made? (or, ,if there is another way, plz let me know) Actually, after time went by and darkness set in, the image is n...

Thanks Phil. It talks about "real time Divx 4 encoder" and "mjpeg" encoder, motion detection and alarm. etc.. does that sound good?
