Re: No interface access after upgrade 1.30.4 to 1.34.5

Your cgi backend might be corrupt as well. Maybe its easier to setup from scratch again.

Re: zm_detect.py error when testing zm_event_start.sh

On what cpu/hardware do you run freenas? I'm planning to run opencv on an i5-2500 (without gpu) but i'm not sure if it will be usable at all.

Re: ZoneMinder 1.32.3 Freenas API Failure

There is not much one can do on a custom build like yours from outside. I would recommend to contact the maintainer of the freenas package. As a wild guess, i would say your rewrite is necessary and shouldn't be removed (but fixed instead). I have an explicit entry as well (nginx): location /zm/api/...

What's the distance between analysis and reference image?

What's the distance (in frames) between the analysis and reference image? Is it the 'warmup frames' value? The 'analysis frames' alarm pixels show a "look-through" effect if a person walks by so the the reference frame must be some frames behind (that is correct of course). The question is how far a...

Re: zoneminder installation error

If you are on LXC anyway why not use Arch Linux (or Manjaro) as guest? It has an AUR package that is very easy to install (if you can handle Arch). I'm on LXC/Alpine but it's rather for hardcore users in its current state. Regarding the problem in the 1st post it looks like the db user either doesn'...

Re: time lapse?

Clone the camera for timelapse. Or do it externally.
Edit: Nvm, i see you've found a solution already.

Re: Errors - not sure why

The pixel values are equivalent to the previous percentage value if you switch (just the same value in pixels) so nothing would change. You would have to change the values to make a difference.

Re: Modetect false alarms

Raise the min areas. Get familiar how to tune the zones by reading the docs and tutorials.
There is not much gain in using two streams though as both streams are decompressed anyway. I tested that as well some days ago.

Re: Incorrect Downloaded Video start-time

Check the logs. A time shift of 3 minutes should put out some results.

Re: Errors - not sure why

I guess its working correctly.
You probably just have configured your zones not properly. Don't use percentage, use pixels instead. Maybe start with 3000/2000/1000 (min values).

Re: Errors - not sure why

Either type this (absolute path):
/usr/lib/zoneminder/cgi-bin/zms

or if you are in the folder (as on the screenshot) you can use this:
./zms

If you just type the pure command name (as you did) it looks for the file in the $PATH folders only ('echo $PATH' to check).

Re: Errors - not sure why

zma is not zms.

Try /usr/lib/zoneminder/cgi-bin/nph-zms

Re: Errors - not sure why

The zms binary crashes (segfault). What happens if you start the binary manually? Does it work or crash as well? Mine is at '/usr/share/webapps/zoneminder/cgi-bin/zms'. 0 Zoneminder ~ $ /usr/share/webapps/zoneminder/cgi-bin/zms 03/10/20 02:13:02.089256 zms[21490].FAT-zms.cpp/176 [No query string.] 2...

'Nodect' without decompression?

I use 'modect' on a network camera sub-stream (640x480x15fps) to trigger the main-stream (1920x1080x30fps). Two monitors, one camera. I'm trying to save resources/cpu power. The sub-stream consumes 8% CPU (with motion detection) if it runs alone. Additionally enabling the main-stream with 'nodect' l...

Re: zmaudit.pl make a very high i/o wait ...

It's probably here. Please don't forget my question above.

Instead of a striped raid i'd better go for separate drives and spread the i/o streams accordingly.
