so what do you think if i have dual core 2.8Ghz emt64 with 1 gig RAM, should i install 32 or 64 bit?

my understanding from your post here is that 64 bit work well and run faster than 32 bit if we use more RAM? is that correct?

This is interesting topic.

if i have dual core cpu, which one will perform better if installed with 32bit or 64bit kernel to work with ZM? if there is no advantages using 64bit kernel, i might want to change to 32bit too.

When I have set the zm status to "stopped" and then I rebooted my box, when the server back up again, it will produce errors saying. Use of unitialized value line 51 (or line 55 if i am not mistaken)of SharedMem.pm. I will try to reproduce the error again if am home and report back with the exact er...

Change Camera function from backend

Is there anyway we can check and then change the camera function from the back end via shell or perl? let say there are 8 cameras and they are all "Mocord" and I want to change to camera 1 - 4 to "Modect" and 5-8 to "Monitor"?

Thanks for the reply, I am trying to start another daemon program if the time meets. this is cronlike program, so for example, if the time is equal to midnight, my daemon script would be run. so right now i am using system(), but the bad thing about system() is that it will wait until the child proc...

perl question using system() and sleep() problem

Hi, I want to ask you guys, how to run my_program.pl without interupting or stoping the sleep() below, because what happened was the sleep stops doing its job waiting for the system("my_program.pl") to be completed. i tried using exec but exec stop the sleep right away. Thanks for any help. while(1)...
