Re: Upgrade from 1.30.4

OK... have my server back up and now attempting to install per the instructions linked above.

'sudo apt list --upgradeable' returns a ton of packages (366), all marked as "unstable." Am I effectively upgrading my system to "sid?"

At this point I'm hesitant to proceed.

Re: Upgrade from 1.30.4

I've got a fresh install of Debian 9 and am now ready to install 1.32.x: took me a while to get UEIF and an SSD system drive configured! (switched from BIOS/MBR) Regarding the instructions shown in the above link, I would follow the 1.30.4 instructions for the LAMP parts and then follow "Debian 9 wi...

Re: Upgrade from 1.30.4

Well, looks like the time came sooner than I'd expected: I destroyed my database(s) while trying to resolve an interface issue (long story that I'd already like to forget!). So, the question, for me, now becomes: How do I install this release when I have a trashed 1.30.4 install? I don't know what a...

Seems that the source of the problem might be with MySQL. I'd look for logs associate with it (since I have no idea what system I cannot point you where to look). This is about the limit of my "knowledge."

Re: Silly-high capture rates

I ran into the same problem. Looks traceable to mysql. Logfile shows: 181204 6:05:32 [ERROR] mysqld got signal 11 ; This could be because you hit a bug. It is also possible that this binary or one of the libraries it was linked against is corrupt, improperly built, or misconfigured. This error can a...

OK, thanks. I've got this simmering on the back burner, though intend to bump it when the front burners are cleared.

Re: Upgrade from 1.30.4

Any info for upgrades on Debain 9? (I'm not even sure what basic upgrade actions would be necessary, let alone for a specific OS. I once compiled and built from scratch 1.30.4 and later installed the pre-buiilt binary, but never have upgraded.)

Silly-high capture rates

I've been running for many months (all year- since I've installed ZM) w/o errors like this. Just got this error (several of many): Camera4: 521000 - Capturing at 1000.00 fps Have four cameras and all were reporting high capture rates. I do NOT have any max capture rate set. FPS analysis is 1. Until ...

Re: event email notification for alarms

What do your logs say? (filter the logs using ""zmfilter") Hard to tell if it's the e-mail mechanics or your filter's logic. The filter logic seems to have some issues. It is a bit narrow in scope in that it's only accepting a match of only a single alarmed frame. Perhaps make this "greater than or ...

Re: Run State filter test?

OK, thanks for the clarification. Knowing that it'll be in the next release I'll just hold off and wait: I'd compiled 1.30.4 previously when I was testing an implementation (new to ZM) and found it to be a bit of a headache (I did, however, manage to get it to compile and work); I'm basically in pro...

Re: Run State filter test?

You "hacked it into 1.30.4?" Not part of 1.30.4? Everything you link to points to that github 1752 thread and that thread only states that there is a code change (supposedly for this), there is no mention of how it was implemented (I cannot find any documentation). The SMS_Notification Notes points ...

I see that there's something in 1.31?

https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/pull/1752

But I cannot find much else discussing it.

Run State filter test?

I've run across having a similar needs as I, but it's been approached in a different (what I believe is more complicated) manner. I'm thinking that having a filter test for "Run State" (string comparison) would allow me to create a run state of say "NoEmail" and I could toggle the server's run state...

Re: Analysis FPS

I just stumbled across this thread after having difficulties finding any documentation on this setting. Reason I was looking at this setting was because I was wanting to do some tweaking on my cameras' frame rates. My cameras are all streaming at 20FPS and I thought that this was unnecessarily high ...

Re: SOLVED

Educational process for sure. I had not realized that in order to automate filters one had to set/check "Run filter in background." Thought that their existence as filters would mean they were all considered for every event. Seems obvious now, but... The documentation mentions this but only in a mo...
