Wiki for 1.30.4 installation on 18.04

Hi,

I want to install 1.30.4 on 18.04 (currently I have 1.30.4 working well on 14.04 and I'm satisfied). I didn't find any wiki for that. They seems canceled.
Could you suggest please?

thanks

Re: Unable to send stream frame: Broken pipe anytime closing live stream

This is by design, and it doesn't happen all the time. It's simply telling you that the connection to the client stopped, which it has. Downgrading the message to Info might be appropriate. hi knight, i'm receiveng the same error message. I understood that is by design. In my case it happens all th...

Re: PTZ with onvif

@Epsilon187: I second the port suggestion. The "connection refused" error strongly suggests that the port is incorrect. You should be able to use the control script I linked above. My cameras also use "onvif/ptz_service" to control the PTZ stuff. Though mine use port 8999, not sure what port is the...

Re: PTZ with onvif

Hi guys and hz01web , below my experience (above the modified Netcat.pm script) I discovered the ONVIF port my camera uses through the app: https://sourceforge.net/projects/onvifdm/ Check if the camera works with the win ONVIFDM app. If so, you could find in identification , in the field URI the por...

Issue (solved): Zoneminder stopped, restarted and stopped again

hi all, to inform about an issue I had on Zoneminder. I found ZM stopped with all the cameras in disabled status. I restarted ZM and put the cameras in enabled status. after minutes ZM went again stopped. And again. And again... I tried to see the Log tab: it was empty! I imagined due to some wrong ...

Re: PTZ with onvif

SOLVED! :D :D I sent the first succesful PTZ command through the modified Netcat ONVIF ZM script ! :-) I used the method suggested by knigget! Thanks That is: sniff through Wireshark the commands sent by the Windows ONVIF app and compare them with the commands of Netcat ONVIF script sent by ZM (I w...

Re: PTZ with onvif

hi knigget, sharkspear, i'm trying to pass PTZ commands to my IPCAM through ZM. I discovered that the camera works with cgi_api commands like: http://admin:admin@192.168.1.200/cgi/sys_get?Group=DeviceInfo http://admin:admin@192.168.1.200/cgi/ptz_set?Channel=1&Group=PTZCtrlInfo&Direction=1&PanSpeed=2...

Re: PTZ settings with LEFTEK IPCAM

I adjusted the standard onvif.pm control file (which in fact does not use onvif commands...) for a dahua, with /cgi/commands... https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=27000 As a first step you can make a new file and test a few commands you know are working in a browser by replacing the ...

Re: PTZ settings with LEFTEK IPCAM

Can you try these settings in control tab: Controllable= X Control Type= Pelco-D Control Device= (nothing to be filled in here) Control Address= user:password@192.168.1.201 Apply changes, reboot and report results. If this does not work, please try : Controllable= X Control Type= Pelco-D Control De...

Re: HikVision PTZ control

Thanks for the update. In fact the reply from seller is helping, at least to understand that this camera is not using HIKVISION protocol, but Pelco-D instead. I suspect you are able to use PTZ commands in iVMS-4200 probably because it uses ONVIF (Pelco-D commands get translated via onvif...). Not 1...

Re: HikVision PTZ control

Understood that your issue is with PTZ control, but to troubleshoot that, you have to investigate what commands your camera can accept over http. http://192.168.1.200:8080/ISAPI/System/deviceInfo is a basic one from HIKVISION API, so if this is not working, then you will not be able to monitor PTZ ...

Re: HikVision PTZ control

Is your HTTP camera connection port 8080? (no easy to read that on 1st print screen) If yes, you have to specify it, i.e.: http://192.168.1.200:8080/ISAPI/System/deviceInfo Try to avoid safari as the xml output will not be easy to read. Prefer Firefox or Opera like browser. No need to specify user:...
