Re: Can't view feeds

Briefly had the same issue here, and for my Centos7 ZM install, the correct ZMninja CGI-BIN path was http://server/zm/cgi-bin-zm/nph-zms

Re: [SOLVED*] CentOS7, some file permission errors... *workaround

Yes, totally my brain damage kicking in (multiple concussions)... I actually did step through that - but somehow skipped the step of editing the /etc/selinux/config. Will pay more attention next time, sorry about that!

Re: [SOLVED*] CentOS7, some file permission errors... *workaround

Wow... I managed to not SEE that file before! * Probably would be good to have it posted at http://zoneminder.readthedocs.org/en/latest/installationguide/centos.html ... Anyway, I am doing a fresh clean install of Centos7, simply because my original install had a 50GB /dev/root/ and a ...

Re: CentOS7, some file permission errors...

OK, so I set selinux config to "permissive" (logs stuff, but doesn't interfere!) and this seems to have magically restored ZoneMinder functionality, with no more errors in the system log. Guess I've got some SELINUX tuning to trudge through, in the near future... "Selinux, the root of all evil"®

Re: CentOS7, some file permission errors...

And actually it IS recording, when set to "record" manually ... if I bring up the event I can see the frames and stills are actually there. and MoDetect IS WORKING. ** It's just the empty first frame there that is missing: emptyframe.png (I was expecting an actual playable video to pop up there, gue...

Re: CentOS7, some file permission errors...

OK, getting warmer now... I thought I had disabled SELINUX!! CentOS7 is all Greek to me, after years of Centos 5/6... :? :Jan 28 13:28:37 zonemndr-v-rotech-local python[3052]: SELinux is preventing /usr/libexec/zoneminder/cgi-bin/nph-zms from write access on the directory /dev/shm. : If you believe ...

Re: [SOLVED] IPCAM D-Link DCS-4602EV

Well, well, well... turns out that the ZM web-interface wasn't accepting my auth, due to PUNCTUATION in the camera admin password. (oops!) And apparently, the auth IS needed - but the web interface is rejecting punctuation in the remote host name field Went into camera controller and changed the cam...

[SOLVED] IPCAM D-Link DCS-4602EV

Just installed 1.28 on CentOS7, and all looks fine with the basic install. http://ca.dlink.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/DCS-4602EV.jpg Testing first of my two D-link DCS-4602EV cameras ... The camera views just fine in a web-browser and needs no auth, just plain the url http://192.168.0.1/video1.m...

Re: Seeking Hardware Advice... (low budget)

Actually... THINGS ARE LOOKING UP. :D DL380 G5 now happily boots to CentOS7 :D Found the thread that detailed where to find the updated CentOS7 P400 driver iso, and followed the instructions given there, and lo and behold, was able to load the proper driver for CentOS 7 installation. Actually, this ...

Re: Seeking Hardware Advice... (low budget)

Got it! everything is everything. However, I was a bit premature with my 'success' of installing CentOS7 on my P400 drive array. That install crashed about 99% through. I wiped everything clean and did it again ("installation successful") - but it wasn't really a success as it was not able to BOOT. ...

Re: Seeking Hardware Advice... (low budget)

And.. its coming along nicely. Little glitch installing CentOS7... it couldn't see the drive array. (LiveCD of CentOS6 had no trouble seeing and partititioning it.) Turns out the workaround is to add a couple lines to the installer string (you can append to it by selecting and pressing tab)... Addin...

Re: Seeking Hardware Advice... (low budget)

Cool!! Thanks very much for the advice, and I'm all for moving to CentOS 7 now, anyway.
From what I hear, there's only a few little command line utilities they renamed, so no hardship.
Anyway, I'm gonna install the graphical UI version... :-)
