Re: How to add RING Doorbell Pro Camera to ZM 1.31.1

Well it uses libmicrohttpd, so after you upgrade to 1.32.2 you might be able to use a web type monitor to view the cam, but you will not be able to do modetect on it. From the web type monitor you might be able to control the camera natively. It's a little short on technical details and since a goog...

Re: Performance Tuning with H.264

Is this still the recommended method? Is there a better way? Recommended???? Seems like there are so many applications of the ZM system hard to say. But that said, all the ZM systems I look after are still installed this way. One of the developers, @Asker i think, has put together object detection ...

Web Console Font Size

Where do I change the font size?

I know I'm getting old and bigger is better, but this is bordering on "adding insult to injury" ;)

Applying the include method from the instructions in the first post, I've matched up all the settings/directives. (and converted to Ubuntu paths) Here's my /etc/nginx/zoneminder.conf location /zm/cgi-bin { gzip off; alias /usr/lib/zoneminder/cgi-bin; include /etc/nginx/fastcgi_params; fastcgi_param ...

Re: Live Stream with audio

Just a thought, but you might have to use the Web camera type to pass through the native interface to the camera and use the camera's native controls for sound.

Just a theory...

I realized the Web interface might have some indications as to what part of the config is messed up.
Seems like elements like Name and Source are displaying fallback info rather than the intended content.

Does this help anybody to give me a clue?

Futz'n with LEMP

It might be a little premature for this, but I'm futz'n with 1.32.0 on Ubuntu 18.04, NGNIX, MariaDB. I pulled together steps from the following links: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Server_18.04_64-bit_with_Zoneminder_1.30.4_the_easy_way#Ubuntu_18.04_LEMP_.28NGNIX.2C_Mariadb.2C_PHP.29 https://wi...

Re: can't stat '/tmp/zm'

Common problem with the Debian packages. The root cause is /tmp/zm is on private tmpfs folder. One process creates the files and folders but other processes can't read it, because it's private. To fix, go to web portal and click Options-> Paths and change the swap path from /tmp/zm to /dev/shm. OMG...

Re: Only New Events

Thanks @bbunge,

So to get the whole system back up and running again, I had to bounce FreeNAS too. Even though I could see & rw to the events directory from the ZM it wouldn't record.
Kinda like a stale NFS but not really. At any rate I'm back up.

Stay dry my friend and thank you again!.

Re: Only New Events

Agree on the update, but I was waiting for the release of 1.31.

So, I can get and rw to the NAS storage now, from the am server. Any clue what’s keeping it from behaving normal now?
