Re: Cannot View Events

1) The Debian ones from the wiki.(https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_10_Buster_with_Zoneminder_1.34.x_from_ZM_Repo) 2) A Gateway Core 2 Duo E4500, old box that was lying around which I stuck 4Gb of RAM in. 3) Chrome mostly but fails in Edge too. Have not had any reported issues with that install pr...

Re: Cannot View Events

What instructions did you use to install Zoneminder?
What hardware?
What web browser do you use?

Re: System Logs cause HD to fill until OS cannot operate

You are better off using just one partition and a swap partition these days. Several Linux distros are now using a swap file so a swap partition is not needed. As for zoneminder you should set a cron job to run zmaudit.pl to keep ZM "cleaned out." It can also be run from Zoneminder Options but that ...

Re: unable to see capture file?

You may want to start over with a fresh Buster lite install and use the instructions from here: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_10_Buster_with_Zoneminder_1.34.x_from_ZM_Repo I feel that the pi really does not have the resources to run the desktop version and LAMP or LEMP and Zoneminder. I am runn...

Re: Multiple monitors - Single Camera

You can record and view the stream on the same monitor at the same time. View with Montage or set up to view stream via a web page. I have a system with 17 cams and various folks in the office have the ability to view certain groups or cams. Use montage to make a camera wall

Re: Controls on the Monitor window

It seems that you can have a Reset button, and you can have Reset and Reboot buttons; but you can't have just a Reboot button. If you hover over the Live Feed, you get a nice tooltip that says, "click to zoom, shift click to pan, control click to zoom out". None of these cause controls to be issued...

Re: Upgrade from 1.30.4?

Not exactly. You will need to sudo systemctl stop zoneminder edit the sources.list sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list Remove the entry for the 1.30 version. Likely the last line in the file Add the following line to the end of the file deb https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/debian/release-1.34 buster/ CTRL+...

Re: Ubuntu Install for 1.34.x

For those of you using MySQL 8 on Ubuntu 19.10, there are some additional MySQL configurations that have to be done. See: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Server_or_Desktop_Zoneminder_1.34.x#MySQL_8_-_Additional_Steps_-_Ubuntu_19.10_.28and_beyond.3F.29 Be advised that there is at least one procedu...

Same problem here. A fresh install + just installed Event Server succesfully -> trying to get zmNinja working. 1.34 on Ubuntu 19.10.
As I stated earlier the OP's issue was not with the API.

Make sure you have the latest ZmNinja. Make sure you have enabled the API for the ZmNinja user.

You should be ok. Recommend you take a dump of the zm database first and run the upgrade from a terminal.

Re: Ubuntu Install for 1.34.x

A word of caution for upgraders. As of 22JAN20 the PPA/zoneminder-master, the development area, has versions of Zoneminder 1.34. If you were using the 1.33.x development version of Zoneminder and you apt update - apt upgrade without changing to PPA/zoneminder-1.34 you will get the next development v...

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

Jessie to Buster first or Zoneminder 1.33.16 to 1.34.0 first? Upgrading Debian 9 to 10 will likely break Zm if wether or not if you upgrade zm. Your best bet is to backup your zm database first. Upgrade to Buster. Check to be sure you have one PHP version. Upgrade Zoneminder and if you have issues ...
