Re: Vivotek VS8801

You should be able to use RTSP just like other Vivotek cameras General Tab: Ffmpeg Source Tab: Source Path: rtsp://192.168.1.241/live2.sdp?tcp (use your IP address to the server and live1.sdp to live8.sdp for your cameras) Capture Width X Height - start with 320X240 to get it working. Not sure about...

Re: Secured zoneminder... now I can't login

Try:
user: admin
password: admin

Once you are in add another user and password, log out then back in with the new user and either delete the admin user or change his password.

Re: New ZM Install on Ubuntu 13:10?

Well, 1.27 is on the PPA. Works well on 12.04. Also have installed it on 13.04 then upgraded to 13.10 and it worked!

Re: Zoneminder streaming for Foscam fi8921w

Am successfully running this camera for several months. Recently did a firmware upgrade and had to go back to "adjust" some settings. Re: How To Upgrade

A better spot for the "sleep 15 is above echo -n "Starting $prog: "

start() {
sleep 15
echo -n "Starting $prog: "

Re: How To Upgrade

I need to add that if you use the package installers version of /etc/init.d/zoneminder , Zoneminder will not start before MySQL. You need to add a delay to the Zoneminder start script: nano /etc/init.d/zoneminder Add below: prog=ZoneMinder sleep 15 This is documented in: http://www.zoneminder.com/wi...

Re: How To Upgrade

The ZM 1.27 version is now on the PPA repository

apt-get update

then
apt-get dist-upgrade

Worked for me twice!

Re: Successful upgrade from 1.26.5 on Ubuntu 13.10

You can use the Ubuntu install at: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_Server_12.04_64-bit_with_Zoneminder_1.26.5_the_easy_way You do have to add the delay to : /etc/init.d/zoneminder. To the package installers version of the file add sleep 15 as shown: start() { sleep 15 echo -n "Starti...

Re: Install problem (Linux Mint 16)

Well, I would guess that Mint 16 has Apache 2.4. So you will run into the same problem that we've had with Ubuntu 13.10. See http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_13.10_-_Apache_2.4_with_Zoneminder_configuration_changes And if you get Mint 16 to show you the video from the camera, please p...

Re: Can't link zoneminder to apache.

If you are using Ubuntu 13.10 there have been some changes to Apache. Unfortunately, I've not been able to get ZM running on a fresh install of 13.10. I recommend you drop back to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and follow these instructions: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_Server_12.04_64-bit_with...

Re: User Logins broken

Something to try: Add your timezone to the php.ini file. In Ubuntu.. sudo nano /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini Look for: ; date.timezone = remove the ; and add your timezone date.timezone = America/New_York See: http://php.net/manual/en/timezones.php for list of acceptable entries. I noticed that this see...
